Lucas Cartelle and Hudson Schwartz win for the Japanese manufacturer. BMW duo Piana and Sylvestersson new championship leaders after second place. Evenly-matched field: Aston Martin makes it three manufacturers on the podium.
Lucas Cartelle (18/BEL) and Hudson Schwartz (17/USA, both CRT) win Sunday’s ADAC GT4 Germany race at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben in a Toyota GR Supra GT4. This is the Japanese manufacturer’s second triumph in the ADAC series – the last time a Toyota came out on top was in 2022 at the Nürburgring. The win also marked the first success on the ADAC stage for youngsters Cartelle and Schwartz. An exciting race saw Gabriele Piana (39/ITA) and Benjamin Sylvestersson (19/FIN, both FK Performance Motorsport) take second place in a BMW M4 GT4. In doing so, they also moved to the top of the table. The winners of Saturday’s race, Jan Philipp Springob (25/Olpe) and Philipp Gogollok (20/Bad Homburg, both COSY Racing by ESM), completed the podium in an Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
Cartelle had previously secured pole position on Sunday morning, giving himself the best starting position for the race. The young Belgian made the best start and pulled away from the field with consistently fast lap times. Only Sylvestersson in the BMW was able to go with him to a certain degree. Around the midway point of the race, the gaps were wiped out by the appearance of the safety car. This made for extra excitement in the second half of the race, when Hudson Schwartz and Gabriele Piana replaced their respective team-mates in the driving seat.
A perfectly timed pit stop from COSY Racing by ESM saw Springob climb into third place, having taken over from his partner Gogollok in the Aston Martin. The second half of the race was a tactical affair, with the front three remaining unchanged. The win for Toyota means four different manufacturers have now tasted victory in 2026 after six races in this season’s ADAC GT4 Germany. Cartelle and Schwartz also celebrated victory in the Junior classification on Sunday.
Linus Hahne (22/Oelde) and Philip Wiskirchen (21/Euskirchen, both ME Motorsport) finished fourth in a BMW, narrowly missing out on the podium. The biggest fightback of the race came courtesy of Roman Fellner-Feldegg (24/Landsberg am Lech) and Marek Böckmann (29/Lautersheim, both Prosport Racing), who thrilled spectators at the circuit as they stormed through from the back of the field to finish fifth. Denny Berndt (21/Berlin) and Lachlan Robinson (22/AUS, both AVIA W&S Motorsport) were sixth in the best-placed Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. They now travel to the next race weekend at the Nürburgring in second place in the table. Seventh place went to Lukas Stiefelhagen (19/NED) and Leon Bauchmüller (19/Kurchlinteln, both ME Motorsport). This was enough to give Stiefelhagen victory in the Rookie competition. Fellow BMW drivers Gianni van de Craats (20/NED) and Victor Nielsen (19/DEN, both FK Performance Motorsport) came home eighth. Hendrik Still (38/Kempenich) and Tim Horrell (35/USA, both AVIA W&S Motorsport) finished ninth in the Porsche to win the PRO-AM classification. Rounding out the top ten were their team-mates Alon Gabbay (22/ISR) and Maximilian Schreyer (17/Marburg).

Hudson Schwartz – winner for CRT “I am also delighted with our first victory in this racing series, which is so strong. Tomorrow I head straight back to the USA, so I will celebrate there with my family. The team and Toyota gave us a mega car. I could not be happier.”
Gabriele Piana – runner-up for FK Performance Motorsport “It is obviously great to be back on top of the table. However, it will be even better if we are top after the last race of the season. We improved a bit on yesterday, but the Toyota was simply unbeatable today. We want to get back to winning ways at the Nürburgring.”
Benjamin Sylvestersson – runner-up for FK Performance Motorsport “On the whole, we can be very happy with the weekend. Regaining the lead in the table is a nice result, but today’s race was anything but easy. However, the team did a very good job, and we got the maximum out of it. We now turn our attention to the Nürburgring, where we want to back up this performance and, if possible, enjoy a similarly strong result.”
Jan Philipp Springob – third place for COSY Racing by ESM “It was definitely a good weekend for us. I think we once again got everything we could out of today. To be fair, I have to say that we were simply too slow to challenge at the very front. The 15 kilograms of success weight definitely did not help. Despite that, we scored as many points as possible and achieved as much as we could. We now want to do the same at the Nürburgring.”
Philipp Gogollok – third place for COSY Racing by ESM “I am very happy with the whole team. Jan Philipp did a super job and brought the car home safely. Long may it continue this way. We are now ten points behind in the championship – as such, it is still all to play for, and we will continue to push hard. Today was not quite as exciting as yesterday. We had a bit more breathing space behind us, so the finish was a little more relaxed. With our weight disadvantage and their prerequisites, the BMW and the Toyota were simply a bit faster than us in the end. Despite that, I am very happy. Let’s hope it continues like this.”
