Norisring: Visitor Information

The Norisring is the only street circuit on the DTM calendar, and the highlight of the season. Here is an overview of all the important information for visitor.

ADAC Members Lounge

All ADAC members have free access to the ADAC Members Lounge in the Fan Zone, where they can enjoy free coffee from partner Eni, use the WiFi, or try their luck on the wheel of fortune.

Directions and parking at the Norisring

Your Norisring ticket allows you to use public transport to travel to and from the races free of charge. The VGN ticket is printed directly on the RacePass tickets. In the case of Print@Home tickets, visitors will find the respective VGN link on the order confirmation page.

A special train service will run to and from the special platform “Nürnberg-Frankenstadion” on the Sunday. The S3 Nürnberg – Neumarkt will also stop at the Frankenstadion stop.

From the city area of Nuremberg, you can reach the racetrack on the number 6 tram line (get off at Dutzendteich und Doku-Zentrum), as well as bus lines 44 and 45 (Hauptbahnhof – Zerzabelshof Ost, get off at Hans-Kalb-Straße) and 65 (Röthenbach – Mögeldorf, get off at Dutzendteich und Doku-Zentrum).

DEKRA Fan Tower

Located in the Dutzendteichkehre corner, the DEKRA Fan Tower is ready to welcome all visitors and offers a unique view of the final turn at the Norisring. Standing roughly nine metres tall, the tower allows fans to follow the action on the track from a totally new perspective.

DTM App

The DTM app is the perfect companion at any DTM event. The app ensures that fans at the circuit do not miss a single session on the track or autograph session. Thanks to the integrated map, visitors are also able to easily find their way around the racetrack. The app is available in the app store for iOS and Android.

DTM classics on the track and in the paddock

A highlight for all fans of motorsport of yesteryear: all weekend, the track will play host to demonstration drives with legendary DTM racers and classic touring cars. HWA will also present its impressive HWA EVO vehicles. A unique opportunity to experience motorsport history up close and personal.

Driver of the day powered by PME Legend

All fans can vote for their personal “Driver of the Day” during both races. To take part, simply select your driver on the DTM app or website.

DTM Fan Tour powered by Pirelli

Embark on a fascinating and exclusive journey behind the scenes of the DTM. Receive background information at first hand, and look forward to a special experience as you visit key areas of the paddock (e.g. tyre service, scrutineering, Parc Fermé, and many more). Prepare to be surprised and immerse yourself in the DTM from a new perspective.

eSports Area and Beat the Pro

Visitors can test their driving skills on the RaceRoom simulators. The simulators are free of charge and can be found in the Fan Zone. The highlight of the RaceRoom stand is “Beat the Pro” at 17:30 on Saturday evening. Here, fans go up against real DTM drivers. In the driver’s seat at the Norisring: Aston Martin driver Nicki Thiim.

Fan Zone

The meeting point for fans: the DTM Fan Zone. Chilling and enjoying the DTM on the big screen, fun on the DTM Action Course, the biggest mobile ball pool in Europe, face painting and tattoos for the kids, the BWT Water Station, the DTM Reaction Wall, the latest DTM merchandise, and Meet the Drivers: a visit to the Fan Zone is always worth its while. New to the Fan Zone: a 360-degree camera to capture perfect memories of the DTM weekend.

The map gives you the best overview of the event site and allows you to easily find key locations. You can find the map here.

Live band “The Yellow Tones”

From 17:30 on Friday, and 18:00 on Saturday evening, entertainment in the Fan Zone comes courtesy of ADAC band “The Yellow Tones”. “The Yellow Tones” perform the best of rock and pop from the past few decades. The band plays well-known hits and hidden gems with passion and their own twist. Their performance is sure to create a great atmosphere, and the sound is startlingly close to the originals. Fun and high spirits are guaranteed.

Meet The Drivers

On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can meet the fastest drivers in the series at a “Meet the Drivers” autograph session in the Fan Zone. Saturday 10:45 to 11:15: DTM 12:45 to 13:05: BMW M2 Cup 14:55 to 15:15: Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland

Pit Stop Challenge by Driver

For all those wondering how they would get on in the pit lane: the new Pit Stop Challenge by Driver in the DTM Fan Zone. Here, you are up against the clock, as you strive for the fastest possible tyre change. Plus, there are great prizes to be won. Drop in, perform, and clean up.

Pit Walk

On Saturday and Sunday, the pit lane will be open for spectators. Fans can enter the pit lane and watch the racing teams at first hand. The Pit Walk is free for all visitors.

Support Programme

Packed programme: Joining the DTM at the Norisring are ADAC GT4 Germany, the new BMW M2 Cup, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, and DTM Classic demonstration drives.

Spotter’s Guide

Which car belongs to which driver? This question can easily be answered with the Spotter’s Guide, which shows all the drivers and their respective cars. The Spotter’s Guide can be downloaded here.

Tickets

Tickets for the DTM are available from € 74 when purchased online at the official DTM ticket shop by 23:59 on Thursday 2nd July. ADAC members save a further 10% when purchasing their tickets this way. From Friday, tickets are available at the standard price both online and on the gate at the Norisring. Admission is free for under 16s when accompanied by a paying adult.

Information on renovation of the Zeppelin grandstand

The city of Nuremberg has begun renovation work on the former National Socialist Party parade ground, order to preserve the structures. As part of the renovation work, the middle section of the Zeppelin grandstand (“Steintribüne”) will not be available as a spectator area. According to official regulations, the “Mittelbau” area may not be entered, due to the ongoing renovation work. The left and right sections of the Zeppelin grandstand have more than enough space, and offer the best views of the start/finish straight

Vierol Fan Box

Visit the Vierol Fan Box, located between the racing teams’ garages. Not only can you get to know the car parts supplier, but you can also follow the races live on the pit wall like the team manager, win great prizes in the Pit Stop Challenge, and sneak a peek in the neighbouring team garage.
