Both drivers confirmed: Alexzander Kristiansson and Erik Bertilsson. Ginetta G56 GT4 Evo to start in ADAC GT4 Germany for first time. Racing team set to make its debut in the series in 2026.
New team, new car, and new drivers: ADAC GT4 Germany will be even more diverse in 2026. In KRT Racing, the series welcomes a team from Sweden for the very first time. The car of choice for the newcomers is the Ginetta G56 GT4 Evo. The British model will also be making its debut in the ADAC’s GT4 championship. Alternating at the wheel will be Alexzander Kristiansson (25/SWE) and Erik Bertilsson (24/SWE). “In moving up to ADAC GT4 Germany, we are stepping up to the international stage and will also be looking to expand the programme over the next few years, as ADAC GT4 Germany is a high-class and very competitive racing series,” says Alexzander Kristiansson, who is not only a driver, but also team manager.
Kristiansson gained his first experience of ADAC motorsport in 2025. “I drove in the Prototype Cup Germany last year, and the events on the DTM platform were really excellent,” he explains. “The coverage we are able to achieve there is very important. There are big crowds at the circuit and there is a huge amount of interest. This has allowed us to secure good packages for our sponsors, and we have consequently opted to race in ADAC GT4 Germany.” The 25-year-old began his racing career in 2020 in the Swedish Ginetta one-make cup. He went on to be crowned champion in that series in 2024. Team-mate Erik Bertilsson won the title in 2025. “Erik is actually pretty much part of the family, and a good friend. We now want to do well together in ADAC GT4 Germany,” says Kristiansson. “It goes without saying that we do not yet know all the circuits. However, we have our sights set on breaking into the top five over the course of the season.”
The successful outings in the Ginetta one-make cup in their native Sweden made the decision to run the British manufacturer’s G56 GT4 Evo model a relatively easy one. “We have a good relationship with Ginetta. The car has proven to be very competitive in the European, British and French GT4 championships. When we approached Ginetta about running the car in ADAC GT4 Germany, they were immediately on board,” says Kristiansson.
KRT Racing enters its sixth season on the motorsport scene in 2026, and is a genuine family team. “My father owns the team,” Alexzander Kristiansson explains. The team has already received its car and has prepared it for ADAC GT4 Germany. The car was given its first short shakedown in cold temperatures in Sweden. The team is currently performing tests at the Hockenheimring. “With temperatures around 16 degrees Celsius and sunshine, Hockenheim gives us the perfect opportunity to familiarise ourselves with the G56 GT4 Evo and to gel as a team ahead of the season. We cannot wait for the season opener at the Red Bull Ring at the end of April,” says a determined Kristiansson.
