FK Performance: Shoot-out for junior programme

FK Performance Motorsport is looking out for the next generation of motorsport stars with its “The Next Step” development programme, which kicks off on 1st October at the Hockenheimring. The Bremen-based team has been a permanent fixture on the ADAC motorsport platform for years.

FK Performance Motorsport has been part of the ADAC GT4 Germany field since 2023, since when it has not only put its faith in BMW race cars, but also primarily young drivers. The team from Bremen is looking to expand this concept in the future. With this in mind, it has launched a new development programme for the 2027 season, which it has called “The Next Step”. The goal is to not only introduce young drivers to the team’s involvements in the BMW M2 Cup and ADAC GT4 Germany, but also to focus on the potential opportunity to progress into the ADAC GT Masters.

The programme kicks off on 1st October with a test day at the Hockenheimring. The test will serve as a shoot-out for the 2027 season. The participating drivers (aged 15 and above) will have the opportunity to show what they are capable of in the BMW M2 Racing and the BMW M4 GT4 at the racetrack in Baden. Among entry requirements are at least a national racing licence and evidence of experience in karting or automobile racing. The shoot-out will be accompanied by FK Performance drivers. Data will be analysed together with the team’s engineers.

Since joining ADAC GT4 Germany, FK Performance Motorsport has achieved 13 podiums. The highlight of these were the three race wins. The team lines up with three BMW M4 GT4 in the 2026 season, and currently lies second in the Team classification. In 2025, FK Performance Motorsport was named best global customer team by BMW.
