CV Performance X JP Motorsport set for comeback

Team to run a Mercedes-AMG GT4 in ADAC GT4 Germany in 2026. AT the wheel of the car will be two rookies in Jonathan Engström and Kyam Potez.

The grand return of CV Performance X JP Motorsport to ADAC GT4 Germany: the racing team will take its place on the grid with a Mercedes-AMG GT4. The car sports an extravagant blue, black and gold design. CV Performance is a recognised force in ADAC GT4 Germany, having started in the series from 2022 to 2024 – with great success: the team currently has two race wins and a further six podiums to its name. After a year away, the team is now set to return to the big GT4 stage.

In the cockpit, CV Performance X JP Motorsport has turned to an international duo: Jonathan Engström (22/SWE) and Kyam Potez (17/SVN). Engström was born with motorsport in his genes. His father Tomas Engström made a name for himself around the world on the touring car scene. So far, Jonathan has primarily done his racing in single-seaters and touring cars.

“I am really looking forward to my first season in ADAC GT4 Germany. It feels like the right move at the right time in my career. The championship is very professional and has a strong field – exactly the environment, in which I want to develop and prove myself as a driver,” says the Swede. “One goal is obviously to challenge at the front as a rookie. At the same time, we know how strong the field is. If we work hard and perform as we are capable of doing, we can definitely have a big say.”

Kyam Potez only started racing on circuits in 2025, and climbed straight into a GT4 car. Prior to that, he had been putting pedal to the metal on quads and snowmobiles. “ADAC GT4 Germany is a big next step for me. The series is regarded as one of the best platforms in GT4 racing and offers a very professional environment,” says Potez. “After my first season on the GT4 scene, I am looking to continue to develop and get to a consistently high level as soon as possible. In CV Performance X JP Motorsport, I have found a team that gives me a very good foundation, on which to achieve that.”
