The established team from Berlin will contest its fourth season in ADAC GT4 Germany this year. In Alex Connor and Germany’s Marius Schmid, the team is putting its faith in a mix of experience and talent in the cockpit.
Pink is set to be prominent in ADAC GT4 Germany in 2026: BWT Mücke Motorsport will again run a Mercedes-AMG GT4 with its striking livery – and has grand ambitions with a strong pair of drivers. Experienced British driver Alex Connor shares the cockpit with talented young German Marius Schmid. “In Alex and our newcomer Marius Schmid, we have consciously gone for a mix of experience and talent in the cockpit. Marius has already completed tests in a GT4 car and has opted to continue down this route with our team,” explains team principal Stefan Mücke. “Alex Connor has supported us in the past with his experience and talent. It is nice that he is now going to contest the full ADAC GT4 Germany season with us.”
21-year-old Connor has been racing in ADAC GT4 Germany since 2023, when he took his place for the first time at the wheel of a pink Mercedes-AMG belonging to the Berlin-based outfit. After a season with another team, he returned to BWT Mücke Motorsport for the final two race weekends of the 2025 season. “Last year I made my comeback in the last two races of the season, and I am confident that we can achieve more success,” says Connor. “I now know the Mercedes-AMG GT4 very well and we want to challenge at the front together. I can hardly wait for the new season to begin.”
In contrast, his team-mate Marius Schmid is new to GT4 racing. The 18-year-old from near Lake Constance started out in motorsport in 2023. In 2025, he familiarised himself with the Mercedes-AMG of BWT Mücke Motorsport during test drives. “I am very excited about my first season in ADAC GT4 Germany, and am looking forward to starting on the DTM platform,” he beams. “It is now important to get to know the details of the GT4 car even better. Thanks to the team’s vast wealth of experience, and the cooperation with my team-mate Alex, I am sure that we will soon find the necessary speed.”
BWT Mücke Motorsport has been racing successfully in ADAC GT4 Germany since 2023, making it an established name in the series. In 2024, the team claimed a total of five podiums, including a maiden victory at its home event at the Dekra Lausitzring. BWT Mücke Motorsport ended 2024 in third place in the Team standings and is now looking to take the next step in 2026.
