Aston Martin fastest in Free Practice 1

Philipp Gogollok was unbeatable in the opening practice session of ADAC GT4 Germany at the Red Bull Ring. As well as Aston Martin, Porsche also impressed in Austria.

The 2026 ADAC GT4 Germany season is up and running. The series lines up on the DTM platform at the Red Bull Ring – and Free Practice 1 took place on Friday morning. Philipp Gogollok (20/Bad Homburg) from COSY Racing by ESM set the fastest time of 1:35.881 minutes in an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 Evo.

“It is a good start to the weekend,” said a beaming Gogollok, who starts alongside Jan Philipp Springob (25/Olpe). “We are already excited about the second free practice session this afternoon. However, what really matters is obviously qualifying on Saturday. That is when everyone will be show what they are capable of. Our goal for the race weekend is definitely the podium – preferably in both races.”

AVIA W&S Motorsport also looked really good in Free Practice 1. All four Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 run by the team from Ofterdingen finished in the top five. Alon Gabbay (22/ISR) and Maximilian Schreyer (17/Marburg) were second fastest, 0.268 seconds off Gogollok’s time. Third place, 0.313 seconds back, went to Hendrik Still (38/Kempenich) and Tim Horrell (35/USA). Denny Berndt (21/Berlin) and Lachlan Robinson (22/AUS) ended the session in fourth place, 0.501 seconds slower than the top time. Debutants Nicolas Guillaume (19/BEL) and Frederic Zebis (17/DEN) were 0.779 seconds back. Next up for ADAC GT4 Germany at the Red Bull Ring is Free Practice 2 at 14:05 on Friday.
