ADAC GT4 Germany is ready for season eight. The sports car series will feature spectacular cars from six manufacturers – Aston Martin, BMW, Ginetta, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and Toyota – at the opening event at the Red Bull Ring. And that is not the only promising sign that fans are in for a weekend of high-class motorsport: the prestigious circuit in Austria has always produced entertaining races in ADAC GT4 Germany in the past. The series will again form part of the support programme for the DTM in 2026, guaranteeing full grandstands. Tickets for the DTM and ADAC GT4 Germany start at € 49 and are available online at dtm.com. Admission is free for under 16s when accompanied by an adult. The race action can be followed in a free livestream on SPORT1.de, Joyn, ServusTV ON, and the ADAC Motorsport channel adac.de/motorsport, with coverage starting at 17:35 on Saturday and 10:10 on Sunday.

‘Razoon – more than racing’ has the shortest journey to the Red Bull Ring. Based in Eggersdorf near Graz, the team lines up with two Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. Among those at the wheel will be local favourite Daniel Drexel (25/AUT), who shares a Porsche with rookie Hamish Forrest (18/GBR, both Razoon - more than racing). The Red Bull Ring is also a home event for Wimmer Werk Motorsport. The team from near Vienna also fields two Porsche. Austrian Luis Moser (17) starts alongside Luca Link (22/Günzburg, both FK Performance Motorsport) in a BMW for FK Performance Motorsport. “I am really looking forward to my home race at the Red Bull Ring, as there are always a lot of spectators there. As a result, the atmosphere is always awesome; the whole thing there is just mega,” says a beaming Moser. “The layout is unique, with uphill and downhill sections. Plus, I like the final two fast corners. My goal is the top five. There will also be a few extra family members there to support me at the race weekend.”

One of the favourites for the Driver title in 2026 is once again Gabriele Piana (39/ITA), who shares a BMW M GT4 Evo with youngster Benjamin Sylvestersson (18/FIN, both FK Performance Motorsport). “I obviously always travel to a racetrack to win and to challenge for the title,” says Piana. “As a team, we are very well positioned for 2026. My new team-mate Benjamin is really quick. Hopefully, we can start the season with good results at the Red Bull Ring. The aim is to avoid making any mistakes and get through the races cleanly, so that we can score as many points as possible.”

Hendrik Still (38/Kempenich) travels to Spielberg with plenty of momentum. The AVIA W&S Motorsport driver won a race at the Red Bull Ring in 2025, and went on to end the season as runner-up in ADAC GT4 Germany. This year, he shares the driving duties in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 with the disabled Tim Horrell (35/USA). “I am thrilled to be kicking the season off at the Red Bull Ring, as I have very fond memories of the circuit after last year’s victory. This year, I have a very special challenge alongside Tim, who is in a wheelchair. His standard is super, he is really fast, and he will cause a few surprises,” says Still. “I think we can make it into the top five. The track should really suit the Porsche, as we have a good top speed. We are also hoping for slightly cooler temperatures, as that also works in our favour.”

In total, the field at the Red Bull Ring consists of 19 cars. Razoon - more than racing, Wimmer Werk Motorsport and AVIA W&S Motorsport all line up with Porsche. ME Motorsport and FK Performance Motorsport are putting their faith in BMW. BWT Mücke Motorsport, CV Performance X JP Motorsport and Prosport Racing start with the Mercedes-AMG GT4. COSY Racing by ESM with the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 Evo, KRT Racing with the Ginetta G56 GT4 Evo, and CRT with the Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo2 bring some international flair to the series. There is once again a special bonus up for grabs for the drivers in 2026. The Road to DTM programme will see the winners of the Drivers’ Championship rewarded with financial support for the 2027 ADAC GT Masters season. The foundations for the 2026 campaign will be laid at the Red Bull Ring.
