ADAC GT4 Germany·5.8.2025

Who will lead at the halfway point?

Enrico Förderer and Jay Mo Härtling travel as championship leaders. Max Rosam looking to score heavily at his home event. Both races shown on TV.

The third race weekend of the 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany at the Nürburgring promises to produce plenty of action in the Eifel region. The ADAC series reaches the halfway point of the season at the 3.629-kilometre sprint circuit from 8th to 10th August, after which we will know who tops the table going into the second half of the year. Championship leaders Enrico Förderer (18/Leuterod) and Jay Mo Härtling (22/Sprockhövel, both SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm) are in prime position at the moment, having won all four races so far in their Mercedes-AMG GT4. Tickets for the feast of full-throttle action at the iconic circuit start at € 49 and are available at dtm.com. Both ADAC GT4 Germany races will be streamed live at adac.de/motorsport, ServusTV On, Joyn, sport1.de and youtube.com/adacmotorsports. Start times are 16:10 on Saturday and 15:15 on Sunday. Sky Sport Mix is showing a full replay of each race from 21:30 on both days. Sport1 will broadcast Sunday’s race on free-to-air TV, with coverage starting at 15:00.

Following the two double victories in Oschersleben and at the Norisring, Förderer and Härtling hold a commanding lead of 42 points in the Drivers’ Championship in ADAC GT4 Germany. A maximum 50 points are up for grabs at the Nürburgring. “You obviously never know what might happen. However, we are definitely well positioned to be top of the table at the halfway point,” says Förderer. “Despite this, we will remain humble at the Ring. It was very special to win the first four races of the season. Ideally, we would like to continue that run. However, the opposition is strong in ADAC GT4 Germany. The Nürburgring is my home circuit, so the race weekend is rather special. My family, many friends and my fan club will be there to cheer me on.”

Their closest rivals are second-placed Gabriele Piana (38/ITA) and Berkay Besler (25/TUR, both FK Performance Motorsport) in a BMW M4 GT4. In third place, 49 points back, is the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 duo of Raphael Rennhofer (18/AUT) and Emil Heyerdahl (23/NOR, both Wimmer Werk Motorsport). That means the top three positions in the overall standings are occupied by drivers from three different manufacturers, underlining how evenly matched the field is in ADAC GT4 Germany.

In fourth place are Max Rosam (20/Taunusstein) and Denny Berndt (20/Berlin, both Razoon - more than Racing), who claimed a third and a fourth place in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 at the Norisring, and thus arrive in the Eifel with the wind in their sails. “The main goal for the season is obviously to win the ADAC GT4 Germany title. With that in mind, we want to score some good points at the Nürburgring. The best way to do that is to finish on the podium or, ideally, to win,” says Rosam. “I like the layout of the track. For example, the chicane at the end of the lap always produces some excellent images. If you hit the kerbs right there, then it is great fun.” Rosam has a close association with the Nürburgring and the region, as one part of his family lives in the area around Koblenz.

An attractive guest starter joins the familiar field at the Nürburgring: Jan Philipp Springob (24/Olpe) and Storm Gjerdrum (16/NOR) will share an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO for the COSY Racing by ESM team, with whom they will contest all of this season’s remaining races. Springob has been racing in ADAC GT4 Germany since 2019, during which time he has won two races. Gjerdrum is set to make his debut in the series.
