Perfect start for Enrico Förderer (18/Leuterod) and Jay Mo Härtling (22/Sprockhövel, both SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm): the Mercedes-AMG GT4 duo won the opening race of this season’s ADAC GT4 Germany at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. This was the very first race in the ADAC’s sports car series for both drivers. Second place, after an entertaining battle, went to Raphael Rennhofer (18/AUT) and Emil Heyerdahl (22/NOR, both Wimmer Werk Motorsport) in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4, ahead of local favourite Hugo Sasse (21/Aschersleben) and Roman Fellner-Feldegg (22/Landsberg am Lech, both Prosport Racing) in an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.

Sasse started the race from pole position, and the 2022 and 2023 champion managed to hold onto his lead at the start. Only Förderer was able to match the pace of Sasse’s Aston Martin, and engaged the leader in a number of duels in the first section of the race. However, Sasse refused to be shaken from the front of the field and was still leading when he handed the British car over to his new team-mate Fellner-Feldegg, who was starting his very first GT4 race in Oschersleben.

A few corners after Fellner-Feldegg had taken his place in the driver’s seat, he skidded into the gravel bed. This allowed Jay Mo Härtling, who had taken over in the SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm Mercedes-AMG from Förderer, to slip untroubled into the lead – a position he held onto until the end of the race. The race win also meant victory in the Junior competition for Förderer and Härtling.

The closing stages produced a captivating battle for second place between Fellner-Feldegg and Porsche driver Emil Heyerdahl. Both cars came through several corners side by side, with the Norwegian ultimately prevailing. There was still plenty of cause for celebration for Fellner-Feldegg. As well as finishing third overall, he also won the new Rookie classification.

Fourth across the finish line were Denny Berndt (20/Berlin) and Max Rosam (20/Taunusstein, both Razoon - more than Racing) in another Porsche, ahead of fellow Porsche drivers Hendrik Still (37/Kempenich) and Philipp Gogollok (19/Bad Homburg, both AVIA W&S Motorsport). Sixth place went to Gabriele Piana (38/ITA) and Berkay Besler (25/TUR, both FK Performance Motorsport) in a BMW M4 GT4 Evo. They had started the race from eleventh on the grid, before making up more positions than any other car. In seventh place were fellow BMW drivers Linus Hahne (21/Oelde) and ADAC Stiftung Sport protégé Thomas Rackl (17/Berching, both ME Motorsport). The Porsche of Alon Gabbay (21/ISR) and Thomas Gore (20/JAM), and that of Oskar Lind Kristensen (19/DNK) and Lachlan Robinson (21/AUS, all AVIA W&S Motorsport) ended the race in eighth and ninth place. Rounding out the top ten was the BMW of Maximilian Tarillion (20/Vienna) and Victor Nielsen (18/DNK, both Razoon - xAutomotive Racing).

Enrico Förderer – winner for SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm: “I am obviously very happy to get a result like that at my first race weekend in ADAC GT4 Germany. We worked very hard in the winter and spent every free minute training. My battle with Hugo Sasse was exciting. I think I could actually have overtaken him, but it was important for me to look after the tyres for Jay Mo.”

Jay Mo Härtling – winner for SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm: “It was a super start to the 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany season for us. Enrico did an excellent job at the start of the race. My mission was then to put pressure on the Aston Martin ahead of me. However, I was able to overtake him really quickly, as he had come off the track. I would have actually liked a nicer fight. We will definitely celebrate a bit tonight as a team.”

Emil Heyerdahl – second place for Wimmer Werk Motorsport: “This is the very first time that I have made it onto the podium in the GT4 class. As such, I am naturally very happy. My team-mate Raphael had set it up nicely, which meant we were able to manage our pace. The winner was a little out of range today, but on the whole our race was super. I am already looking forward to Sunday. Let’s see what we can achieve then.”

Raphael Rennhofer – second place for Wimmer Werk Motorsport: “It was a super start to the season for us. Second place was definitely the best we could manage today. Not very much happened at all in my stint. I found it exciting to stand on the podium with Hugo Sasse, as we both shared a car at the finale of last year’s ADAC GT4 Germany.”

Hugo Sasse – third place for Prosport Racing: “My start was not perfect, but I was able to maintain our lead in my part of the race. That was the goal. Roman then did a super job and almost managed to hold onto second place. He had excellent race pace, so we are confident going into Sunday.”

Roman Fellner-Feldegg – third place for Prosport Racing: “It is an incredible day, as I have never made it onto a motorsport podium before. Hugo obviously did a very good job of setting it up. It was a bit tricky for me at first, taking over the car in the lead and then immediately surrendering it. However, the longer the race went on, the better my pace was.”
