Paddock Radar from the Hockenheimring

ADAC GT4 Germany was at the Hockenheimring for the finale of the 2025 season – and there was plenty going on in the paddock again. Here are the fascinating stories straight from the paddock.

Rookie champion: The Rookie classification was introduced in 2025, and it was SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm driver Cedric Fuchs (19/Holzappel) who celebrated winning the title at the end of the season: “It feels great to have achieved this in my first year – and it is just reward for all the hard work. We can definitely build on this success for next year.”

PRO-AM title: Another new competition in 2025 was the PRO-AM class for driver pairings with the FIA status Silver/Bronze. Laurenz Rühl (19/Friedrichsdorf) and Damon Surzyshyn (48/CAN, both Razoon - xAutomotive Racing) came out on top. “This title is very special and something you can tell your friends about. Furthermore, the trophy is a nice way of decorating your house,” said Rühl. “Damon and I get on very well. My first language is English, so communication is very easy.”

Three in a row: As in 2023 and 2024, AVIA W&S Motorsport again triumphed the Team competition. “To win three Team titles in a row is very special, and something I am incredibly proud of,” said team principal Daniel Schellhaas. “That is down to the effort from the whole team – every single person played their part. From the workshop and the racetrack to the organisation in the background, everyone did an outstanding job.”

Back after a year: FK Performance Motorsport ran a fourth BMW M4 GT4 at the Hockenheimring, which was driven by Gianni van de Craats (20/NLD) and Valentijn Greven (18/NLD). Greven was making his debut in the series, while van de Craats had started in ADAC GT4 Germany in 2024. “It was super exciting to be back. This is one of the best GT4 series in the world,” said van de Craats. “Hopefully, I can line up here again in 2026.”

Full house: The race weekend was also extremely well received by spectators. Over the course of the weekend, 102,000 visitors were treated to a feast of motorsport action and created a magnificent atmosphere with packed grandstands. The sheer number of fans also made for an extremely busy paddock.

2026 calendar: ADAC GT4 Germany now heads into the winter break, but next year’s calendar has already been released. The season opener, from 24th to 26th April 2026, will take place at the Red Bull Ring in Austria for the first time. The calendar also includes the highlight of the season at the Norisring, Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, the Nürburgring, and the Sachsenring. The Hockenheimring will host the season finale from 9th to 11th October 2026.
