The team from the Eifel region lines up at the ADAC GT4 Germany event at the Nürburgring with a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2, and is looking to contest the full season in 2026.
An exciting new addition to ADAC GT4 Germany: Teichmann Racing is making a guest appearance with a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 at the Nürburgring weekend. The team from Adenau is primarily known for its outings on the Nordschleife, and will be making its debut in the ADAC’s GT4 series. “I see our team in GT4 racing. That is exactly the field, in which we want to be operating. Plus, the DTM platform makes ADAC GT4 Germany very interesting, especially for young drivers,” says team principal Georg Teichmann, explaining the reasons behind the guest start. “Furthermore, everything is excellently organised. I have been made very welcome.”
Alternating at the wheel of the Supra will be former ADAC Stiftung Sport driver Maximilian Schleimer (17/Obertiefenbach) and the experienced Roland Froese (31/Bruchertseifen). Schleimer is making his debut on the GT4 scene. Froese raced in ADAC GT4 Germany with a different manufacturer in 2022. “Together with Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe, we have launched a youth programme,” Teichmann continues. “We actually wanted to line up with two young drivers. However, that was scuppered by the age limit of 16. As a result, we agreed with Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe to let Roland start alongside Maximilian. He knows the car, the series and the circuit. As such, Roland will be in a mentoring role at the weekend – and we can take advantage of many synergies.”
Teichmann Racing has prepared specifically for the team’s debut in ADAC GT4 Germany. “We travelled with the drivers to Toyota Gazoo Racing’s simulator in Cologne-Marsdorf. Plus, we had two test sessions at the Nürburgring in the run-up to the event. Working so closely with a manufacturer is definitely not the norm,” Teichmann continues. “But that is why I expect a lot from this project in the future.” With successful outings in the World Rally Championship and the World Endurance Championship, TGR Europe is a big name in top international motorsport.
When it comes to sporting goals, Teichmann Racing does not want to put itself under any pressure at the Nürburgring. “ADAC GT4 Germany has a very strong field and the standard is extremely high. With that in mind, we don’t want to set our expectations too high,” Teichmann says. “If we get a result in the top ten, we will head home really happy.”
All things being equal, the guest appearance is just the start of things to come in ADAC GT4 Germany. “After the race weekend, we will obviously analyse it intensely. One option is to start at the Sachsenring at the end of August. Furthermore, we plan to contest the full season in ADAC GT4 Germany in 2026.”
