ADAC GT4 Germany·12.8.2025

Paddack Radar from the Nürburgring

ADAC GT4 Germany reached the halfway point of the 2025 season at the Nürburgring. Here are the fascinating stories from the paddock.

A lost bet: A time of 1:32.338 minutes was good enough for Marek Böckmann (28/Lautersheim),at the wheel of an Aston Martin, to secure pole position for Sunday’s race. Unfortunately for the Prosport Racing driver, his team-mate Anton Paul Abée (28/Hamburg) had gone marginally quicker in Saturday’s qualifying, stopping the clock at 1:32.269 minutes. “We had a bet on who would post the fastest qualifying time,” said Böckmann. “I now have to run down the Kiez in Hamburg in my racing overall. However, betting debts are debts of honour.”

Kart race: The Ring kart track was the stage for the 2025 DTM Kart Grand Prix. Representing ADAC GT4 Germany was Niels Tröger (22/Dresden, FK Performance Motorsport), the 2023 world karting champion. In a strong field, Tröger set the fastest time in free practice and ended the race in third place. “It was fun to race against DTM drivers Ben Dörr and Maximilian Paul. I know them both from our time in karting,” said Tröger. “The track was super, it was a lot of fun. I am happy with third place. If I had not spend too long scrapping with Maximilian, I could definitely have gone for the win.”

Two guests: Two guest starters – the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 Evo of COSY Racing by ESM, and the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 of Teichmann Racing – joined the regular ADAC GT4 Germany field at the Nürburgring. The Evo version of the Aston Martin was active in the series in 2024. Both the latest Toyota and the Teichmann team were making their debut in the series.

Coach tour: The DTM Track Safari returned to the Nürburgring, with fans chauffeured around the track in coaches during a special session. Stepping into the role of tour guide were ADAC GT4 Germany drivers Thomas Rackl (17/Berching, ME Motorsport), Jan Philipp Springob (24/Olpe, COSY Racing by ESM), Enrico Förderer (18/Leuterod) and Max Rosam (20/Taunusstein, Razoon - more than Racing). “I have been on the track at the same time as GT3 cars before. However, to really have the time to watch them calmly was very special for me too, and a cool experience,” said Rosam. “Whether a racing driver or a fan – I can only recommend that. The DTM guys really put their foot down.”

Successful rookie: COSY Racing by ESM driver Storm Gjerdrum (16) was contesting his very first GT4 race at the Nürburgring. And did so with great success: the 16-year-old promptly won the Rookie classification on Saturday. “It was obviously very special to make it onto the podium in my first race. That was a real boost for my career,” said the beaming Norwegian. “The opposition in ADAC GT4 Germany is extremely strong. I had a lot of battles with some experienced drivers, and learned a lot in the process.”

Junior victory: Championship leaders Enrico Förderer and Jay Mo Härtling (22/Sprockhövel, both SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm) won the Junior competition on Sunday. In Saturday’s race, victory in this classification went to Porsche driver Philipp Gogollok (19/Bad Homburg, AVIA W&S Motorsport). “The Junior competition is super cool, as you can compare yourself to drivers of the same age and with a similar level of experience,” says Gogollok. “After the overall podium, it was awesome to have also made it onto the Junior podium, and thus to head home with two trophies.”

Comeback after three years: Roland Froese (31/Bruchertseifen) raced in ADAC GT4 Germany back in 2022. At the Nürburgring this weekend he made his comeback at the wheel of a Toyota for Teichmann Racing. “It was great to be back. It all happened rather suddenly. Only on Wednesday did I find out that I would be driving, so I immediately set off for the Nürburgring on Thursday morning,” said Froese, who finished 13th and 14th alongside Maximilian Schleimer (17/Obertiefenbach).
