The Bremen-based team lines up in ADAC GT4 Germany with three BMW M4 GT4 in 2025. FK Performance Motorsport currently lies second in the table, with their sights set firmly on this season’s main goal: the title.
FK Performance Motorsport is one of the biggest teams in ADAC GT4 Germany. Fabian Finck and Martin Kaemena’s outfit is running three BMW M4 GT4 in 2025. The team from Bremen also lines up in the ADAC GT Masters with the GT3 version of the BMW. “The DTM platform is excellent for young drivers. They are pointed in the right direction for their future careers here,” says Fabian Finck, explaining the background behind the large contingent. “Plus, we are able to run our cars at various attractive racetracks.”
FK Performance Motorsport has been racing in ADAC GT4 Germany since 2023. During this time, the team has enjoyed multiple podium finishes. The most recent of these came at the Norisring, where Gabriele Piana (38/ITA) and Berkay Besler (25/TUR) twice finished runner-up. And the team’s other two BMW, driven by the pairings of Niels Tröger (22/Dresden) and Andreas Jochimsen (27/DNK), and Joseph Ellerine (21/ZAF) and Benjamin Sylvestersson (18/FIN), are also both in fine form.
“Our goal is obviously to win the title. All three cars have strong pairings at the wheel,” says Finck. “Piana and Besler are very experienced and have both won championships in the past. Tröger and Jochimsen showed their qualities last year, and Ellerine and Sylvestersson is also an extremely fast combination. We are in ADAC GT4 Germany to consistently challenge for the podium. We will do everything we can to win the title in 2025.”
To give themselves the best possible chance of achieving that goal, FK Performance Motorsport has assembled a big crew. For example, the team travels with roughly 18 people to ADAC GT4 Germany race weekends. This guarantees they can make sure the three M4 GT4 are at their best. And they can call on a vast and ever-growing wealth of experience: the team was founded more than ten years ago. “Fabian and I have known each other for a very long time. We used to race together on the Nordschleife, and that developed into a friendship,” says Finck, looking back. “In 2013, the FK Performance Motorsport team was founded, with the F and K standing for our two surnames, Finck and Kaemena.”
Since then, FK Performance Motorsport has consistently expanded its operations – and the team has established itself on the motor racing scene. “Drivers and partners are undoubtedly monitoring the success of the team, which we are not only having in ADAC GT4 Germany, but also in other series, such as on the Nordschleife or in the ADAC GT Masters. We try to get the very best out of ourselves wherever we are. I think people can see that, and they definitely appreciate it,” says Finck, offering an explanation for what makes the team so attractive. “On top of that, we have a very close environment, which is particularly valued by our young drivers. Furthermore, we obviously also offer the opportunity to step up into GT3 racing, such as in the ADAC GT Masters.”
Looking at the fleet of cars at FK Performance Motorsport, it is immediately apparent that they are nearly all BMW models nowadays. “We did work with another manufacturer at the start. However, at a certain point we decided it would make more sense to focus on one manufacturer – and that was BMW,” says Finck. “Most of us actually come from a BMW background. We know the contact partners in Munich very well. Plus, BMW offers exactly the range of cars that we want to run. We feel right at home with BMW.”
