Hendrik Still set the fastest time in FP1 at the opening round of this season’s ADAC GT4 Germany at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Porsche cars look good in first session.
The 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany season is officially up and running: on Friday morning, Motorsport Arena Oschersleben provided the stage for the first free practice session, in which Porsche driver Hendrik Still (37/Kempenich, AVIA W&S Motorsport) proved unbeatable. At the wheel of a 718 Cayman GT4, he took exactly 1:30.540 minutes for his fastest lap of the 3.667-kilometre circuit. “I am very happy that the team trusted me to drive the number one car,” says Still, who shares the Porsche with Philipp Gogollok (19/Bad Homburg). “We want to challenge for the title this year, so this kind of start to the race weekend is perfect. The time obviously doesn’t mean a lot yet. However, we can see that we did our homework during the test, particularly because there is a new Pirelli tyre compound in 2025.”
Just 0.013 seconds back in second place were Raphael Rennhofer (18/AUT) and Emil Heyerdahl (22/NOR, both Wimmer Werk Motorsport) in another Porsche. Here, it was Rennhofer at the wheel of the car on the fastest lap. Third place went to Oskar Lind Kristensen (19/DNK) and Lachlan Robinson (21/AUS, both AVIA W&S Motorsport), who were 0.165 seconds off Still’s best time. They were followed by their team-mates Alon Gabbay (21/ISR) and Thomas Gore (20/JAM, all Porsche), 0.179 seconds back.
Rounding out the top five were local favourite Hugo Sasse (21/Aschersleben) and Roman Fellner-Feldegg (22/Landsberg am Lech, both Prosport Racing) in an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. Next up in Oschersleben is Free Practice 2 at 14:20 on Friday. There will then be a qualifying and one race on both Saturday and Sunday. “That is when it really counts. We want to score as many points as possible this weekend. The best way of doing that is to finish on the podium,” says a determined Still.
