ADAC GT4 Germany enjoyed a brilliant start to its seventh season at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Here are some fascinating stories and insights from the paddock.
Packed grandstands: ADAC GT4 Germany traditionally starts as part of the DTM support programme, which guarantees big crowds. Over the course of the weekend, 47,000 fans flocked to Oschersleben. The grandstands were still full for the GT4 races in the afternoon, putting smiles on many faces among the drivers in the GT4 field.
Coach tour guide: The DTM ran its Track Safari in Oschersleben, which allowed spectators to experience a session out on the track – from a coach. Two ADAC GT4 Germany drivers – Niels Tröger (22/Dresden, FK Performance Motorsport) and Thomas Rackl (17/Berching, ME Motorsport) joined the fans on the coaches to provide commentary on the high-octane action. “That was a totally cool experience. I have never been so close to the DTM cars on the track. I am yet to drive a GT3 racer,” said Tröger. “As such, it was also really impressive for me. I hope people enjoyed it.”
Flying rookie: A new addition to ADAC GT4 Germany in 2025 is the Rookie competition, for drivers who are under 25 years of age and contesting their first year in GT4 motorsport. This classification also saw one driver bag a brace of wins. Roman Fellner-Feldegg (22/Landsberg am Lech) lifted the trophy on both Saturday and Sunday. “This new Rookie competition is really excellent,” he beamed. “It allows drivers with no great experience of GT4 racing to directly compare themselves against each other. Plus, an additional trophy can never do any harm.”
Home outing: One of the most sought-after drivers in Oschersleben was Hugo Sasse (21). The Prosport Racing driver comes from nearby Aschersleben. “There were still an awful lot of people in the grandstands, even for the GT4 races. I am thrilled by that. Every year it is enormous fun competing in front of a home crowd,” said Sasse. And he did so successfully, twice finishing on the podium alongside Roman Fellner-Feldegg in an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.
Record holder: Sasse also secured pole position for the Saturday race. This was his seventh pole in ADAC GT4 Germany, making him the sole record holder in this regard. “That is obviously a nice statistic,” said Sasse. “However, I hope I can add a few more pole positions this season. Let’s see what the year has in store.”
Class of 2025: On Sunday morning, the drivers in the 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany season met for a group photo in the paddock in front of the ADAC Hospitality. In total, 42 drivers from 14 countries lined up in Oschersleben.
