Cars from four manufacturers on the grid. Home outing for two-time champion Hugo Sasse and Denny Berndt. Sport1 broadcasting live from Oschersleben on free-to-air TV.
Munich. ADAC GT4 Germany is all set for the opening round of the 2025 season at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben from25th to 27th April. The sports car series will line up with a high-class field consisting of cars from manufacturers Aston Martin, BMW, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche. ADAC GT4 Germany features on the support programme for the DTM again in 2025, guaranteeing packed grandstands. Tickets start at € 49 and admission is free for under 16s when accompanied by an adult. The Saturday race will be streamed live on various channels, while Sport1 will broadcast Sunday’s race live on free-to-air TV from 15:00.
Returning to ADAC GT4 Germany is Hugo Sasse (21, Prosport Racing), champion in 2022 and 2023. The season kicks off with a highlight for the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 driver. Sasse lives in nearby Aschersleben, making it a home event for him. “I am really looking forward to the race weekend in Oschersleben, as the atmosphere there is always super with the big crowds. Last year, I mainly raced abroad, so it is great to start the 2025 season at home and have lots of family members and friends there,” says Sasse, who shares the cockpit with newcomer Roman Fellner-Feldegg (22/Landsberg am Lech). The 21-year-old is confident: “Oschersleben is a very demanding and technical track, which does not forgive any mistakes. The layout ought to suit our Aston Martin, as it handles well in the corners. My goal is pole position, as I have never actually started from first place on the grid in Oschersleben. We are then aiming for the podium in the races.”
It is also a home outing in Oschersleben for Porsche driver Denny Berndt (20/Berlin), who shares a 718 Cayman GT4 with Max Rosam (20/Taunusstein, both Razoon – more than Racing). Berndt showed just how well the Motorsport Arena suits him at the official pre-season test at the start of April, when he set the second-fastest time. “Oschersleben is a class circuit and a lot of fun. Overtaking may be a bit tough, but it is definitely possible. I particularly like the second sector, with the triple left-hander and the chicane,” says Berndt. “There will be a lot of spectators there at the weekend. I also have a few extra people coming to watch, so I will be trying to do my very best. Our goal is obviously to win races.”
One of the favourites in Oschersleben is Gabriele Piana (38/ITA). The 2021 champion switched team ahead of the season, and now lines up alongside Berkay Besler (25/TUR) in a BMW M4 GT4 for FK Performance Motorsport. Hendrik Still (37/Kempenich) and Philipp Gogollok (19/Bad Homburg, both AVIA W&S Motorsport) also have their sights set on challenging for race wins in Oschersleben. They start in the #1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. BWT Mücke Motorsport has a short trip to the opening race weekend. As it did last year, the established team from Berlin will run two Mercedes-AMG GT4 and has acquired the services of two promising pairs of drivers, in the form of Luca Bosco (21/ITA) and Julien Apothéloz (24/CHE), and Scandinavians Tobias Bille Clausen (16/DNK) and Axel Bengtsson (24/SWE).
