SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm drivers topped the table since the start of the season. Förderer and Härtling won four races. Junior title also went to the Mercedes-AMG drivers.
Enrico Förderer (18/Leuterod) and Jay Mo Härtling (22/Sprockhövel) have done it. The SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm drivers were crowned 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany champions in a thrilling finale at the Hockenheimring. This is the very first time that the winners of the ADAC’s GT4 series have been at the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG. The duo led the Drivers’ Championship from the opening race of the season, and never looked back. And that is not all: the young drivers also wrapped up the title in the Junior classification on Saturday, with one race still to come. “Congratulations to Jay Mo and Enrico. I get proper tears in my eyes when I consider what they and the whole team have achieved,” says team principal Thomas Angerer, full of praise. “Jay Mo has now been with us for five years and is an important part of our Young Driver Academy. You can always rely on him technically. Enrico is now in his third year with us. I am just as proud of his performance. Both have worked very hard, have an incredible desire to win, and are always hungry to learn. Those are their defining characteristics. I really enjoy working with these two young racing drivers.”
Förderer and Härtling made their mark on the 2025 season right from the outset. After Förderer had impressed with the fastest time at the pre-season test at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, the duo won both races at the season opener at the same venue – remarkably, on their ADAC GT4 Germany debut. The success continued at the Norisring. Förderer and Härtling also won twice at the iconic street circuit in the heart of Nuremberg. “We kicked off the season on a high. To start with four wins from four races, and to pick up maximum points, was just incredible. We were immediately able to show what we are capable of,” Förderer recalls. The next podium followed with a fifth and a third place at the Nürburgring, the home event for SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm. “I am particularly proud of my pole position at the Nürburgring, which none of us were expecting. The Porsche and BMWs were actually better there,” says Härtling. “That made it all the more satisfying to start from the front of the grid at my home circuit.”
Things did not go to plan at the Sachsenring. After failing to finish the Saturday race, seventh place on Sunday brought them their lowest points haul of the season. They tightened their grip on top spot in the table with an eighth and a third place at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. With that, they travelled to the season finale at the Hockenheimring with a 21-point lead. Fourth place in the opening race and second place in race two were sufficient to secure the title at the circuit near Mannheim.
“This is obviously the greatest triumph of our career. ADAC GT4 Germany is a really impressive racing series and has a high profile in junior motorsport in Germany,” they both agree. “The key to the success was undoubtedly the hard work put in by the entire team and the team spirit.”
Enrico Förderer started out in motorsport at the age of six. He travelled the world racing karts and drove for Ralf Schumacher’s team, among others. In total, he won seven titles on the karting scene. In 2022, Förderer switch to automobile racing, since when he has been driving for Schnitzelalm in GT4 series. He completed his vocational diploma in 2025. For over a year he has been self-employed in the field of car detailing, and also works for his parents’ company. “Enrico and I meet up regularly to exercise together and use the simulator. I particularly value his ambition and determination. He always wants to be the best he possibly can,” says Härtling, describing his team-mate.
Härtling’s motorsport career began as a nine-year-old with a rented kart, with which he contested many races. Roughly five years ago he met Schnitzelalm team principal Angerer. Since then, he has been working for the team as a mechanic and wrapper. He drove his first race for the team at the age of 18. He is now a regular behind the wheel for Schnitzelalm – not only in GT4, but also in GT3 and GT2. Härtling has successfully completed the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring on several occasions. “Jay Mo has already gained a lot of motorsport experience. No matter what circuit or which car, he quickly finds his rhythm and is immediately on the pace. We also get on superbly outside of the sport.”
It remains to be seen what the 2026 season will bring for the two champions. “In principle, you would obviously always want to defend a title. However, I cannot tell you anything about 2026 yet. I am always having a sneaky peak at GT3 racing. I think it is excellent that the ADAC supports young drivers with its Road to DTM programme,” says Härtling. Förderer’s plans for the coming season are also uncertain at the moment: “There are a few lines of thought, but I cannot comment on them yet. ADAC GT4 Germany is definitely a super series, but my goal is also GT3. The Road to DTM programme is an exciting concept, as it helps you make it into the next series up.”
