AVIA W&S – A closer look at the Team champions

The Porsche team from southern Germany once again won the Team competition in ADAC GT4 Germany in 2025. AVIA W&S Motorsport ran four Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 and won three races. The goal for 2026 is to defend their title.

All good things come in threes: After success in 2023 and 2024, AVIA W&S Motorsport claimed the Team title in ADAC GT4 Germany for the third year in a row in 2025. “We are obviously delighted. This year was our fourth full season in ADAC GT4 Germany. To win the Team competition for the third time in a row is not only something of which we are immensely proud, but also a just reward for the whole team,” says team principal Daniel Schellhaas.

AVIA W&S Motorsport ran four Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 in 2025. However, the season did not start according to plan. So accustomed to success, the team had to wait until the Sunday race at the Norisring for its first podium – third place, courtesy of Oskar Lind Kristensen (19/DNK) and Lachlan Robinson (22/AUS). However, the success came thick and fast from that point on: Hendrik Still (38/Kempenich) and Philipp Gogollok (19/Bad Homburg) won races at both the Nürburgring, the Red Bull Ring and the Hockenheimring, and also picked up a further two podiums over the course of the season. Kristensen and Robinson made another two appearances on the podium. Alon Gabbay (21/ISR) and Thomas Gore (20/JAM) also finished on the podium on three occasions. The young pairing of Luciano Schneider (18/Wannweil) and Maximilian Schreyer (16/Marburg) also improved consistently throughout the season.

“Our highlight was undoubtedly the Red Bull Ring. All the hard work we put in with the drivers over the course of the year really bore fruit there. We had three cars in the top four in one race, and two in the top four in another – plus, a win and two runner-up finishes. The Red Bull Ring is where everything clicked into place in 2025. It was there that we paved the way for the Team title,” Schellhaas recalls.

Schellhaas is the “S” in W&S Motorsport. He runs the racing team together with Patrick Wagner – the “W” in the team name. The two met in 2008 and raced together on the Nordschleife between 2009 and 2016. The limited company was founded in Ofterdingen in 2016. Since then, the team has focussed on two areas – the NLS in endurance racing, and GT4 on the sprint scene. 2025 was the most successful year so far in the team’s history. As well as ADAC GT4 Germany, they also won titles in the GT4 European Series, China GT, the SRO GT Cup, the GT Winter Series, and the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS).

W&S has been active on the ADAC Motorsport platform since 2021. “We particularly like the media coverage, for example the amount of TV time. Generally speaking, the DTM environment is excellent and attracts bit crowds. The competition in ADAC GT4 Germany is extremely close and of a really high standard. These are all reasons why we start in this series,” says Schellhaas.

AVIA W&S Motorsport will remain true to ADAC GT4 Germany in the 2026 season. “We will definitely line up again, as we are obviously hungry to defend our Team title. However, we are currently still in discussions with our sponsors, partners, and drivers,” Schellhaas explains. “We hope to put together another attractive package that is, above all, capable of winning – ideally with four cars again. That is our goal.”
