Date confirmed for 2022 Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Sachsenring

These are the dates all motorsport fans have been waiting for. The International Motorcycle Federation FIM has confirmed the dates for the 2022 LIQUI MOLY Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany at the Sachsenring. From 17th to 19th June 2022, the cream of the world’s motorcycle racers will do battle at the Sachsenring, near Chemnitz, in the only German round of the MotoGP World Championship. Tickets for the biggest individual sporting event in Germany are available at adac.de/motogp. “The MotoGP race at the Sachsenring is one of the top motorsport highlights in Germany. After the latest developments, we are optimistic that the event can be held in front of fans again next year. The fans at the circuit are what make the LIQUI MOLY Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany a unique spectacle and absolute highlight of the motorsport year,” says ADAC Sport President Dr. Gerd Ennser.

The circuit in Hohenstein-Ernstthal is celebrating its 95th anniversary next year. The first motorcycle race at the Sachsenring – the Badberg-Vierecksrennen race – took place in front of 140,000 spectators on 26th May 1927. Tickets for the 2022 LIQUI MOLY Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany are already on sale. Tickets purchased for the 2020 and 2021 events are still valid next year and need not be exchanged.
