Deutsche Kart-Meisterschaft·6.2.2024

Concept

The German Kart Championship made its debut in 1962 and has been Germany's highest karting honour ever since. Over the past 60 years, the DKM has repeatedly been a springboard for motorsport talent. The most famous examples are Formula 1 record world champion Michael Schumacher, Formula 1 four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel as well as Ralf Schumacher, Nico Hülkenberg and Timo Glock. All of them celebrated their first major victories in the DKM.

From 2024, the ADAC e.V. will take over the organisation of the German Kart Championship. The championship schedule consists of six race weekends on renowned circuits in Germany and will continue to include four predicates. The DKM premier class (KZ2) and the German Junior Kart Championship (DJKM/OK Junior) will be organised internationally. In contrast, the DMSB Shift Kart Cup (DSKC/KZ2) and the German Mini Kart Championship (DMKM/Mini) will be organised nationally - young drivers will receive an official German championship title for the first time in 2024. As part of the German Kart Championship, the "IAME Series Germany" will be held for the X30 Senior and X30 Junior classes, which will serve as a qualifier for the IAME World Final.

An experienced organisation team as well as permanent sports officials, permanent timekeeping with race control and a professional online live stream and press team accompany all events. Numerous technical checks are carried out to ensure equal opportunities, and standard tyres and fuel are mandatory for all classes. The UNIPRO clutch control system is mandatory for the Mini, X30 Junior and X30 Senior classes.
