MX2 world champion Simon Längenfelder makes his race debut on the 450cc bike. Japan’s Yuki Okura starts with HRC support. Challenging track conditions await the riders.
Round two of this season’s ADAC MX Masters takes place in Dreetz this weekend. On 9th and 10th May, the deep sand at the track in Brandenburg will put riders to the test in four classes: ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. The fans are in for a very special treat, with Simon Längenfelder (D/Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team) set to make a guest start. All races can be watched live at the track and via a free livestream at adac.de/mx-masters.
Max Nagl (D/Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing) travels to Dreetz as the championship leader in the ADAC MX Masters, following an impressive opener that saw him pick up maximum points. However, reigning champion Roan van de Moosdijk (NL/KTM Kosak Racing Team) did not lose a lot of ground and will be determined to turn things round this weekend. Simon Längenfelder will ride a 450cc KTM in a race for the first time on his guest appearance. Tom Koch (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) looked strong on his return to the series after a year away, and, together with Maximilian Spies (D/Becker Racing), has potential to achieve top results in Dreetz. Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/SHR Motorsports by Hartje), Jere Haavisto (FIN/Schmicker Silve Racing), Jordi Tixier (F/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by DVAG), and Harri Kullas (EST/Schmicker Silve Racing) are also a good shout for a podium or two, in a field that boasts plenty of strength in depth. The armada of top international riders, including Marcel Stauffer (A/Osicka MX Team), Jakub Teresak (CZ/Visualz Production), Dave Kooiker (NL/Kemco Management), and Nico Greutmann (CH/MX-Academy Honda Racing by Meuwissen Motorsports), who has stepped up to the top class this season, will be joined in Dreetz by Yuki Okura (J/Honda Dream Racing Bells). The Japanese rider is currently contesting a number of races in Europe, with the support of the Honda factory, to gain valuable experience. German racers like local favourite Peter König (D/KTM GST Berlin Racing), Nico Koch (D/Becker Racing), Paul Haberland (D/MX-Academy Honda Racing by Meuwissen Motorsports), Cato Nickel (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by DVAG), Mark Scheu (D/Johannes-Bikes Suzuki), Toni Hoffmann (D/BVZ Racing), and Max Thunecke (D/Johannes-Bikes Suzuki) will also be hungry to impress with some top results.
As well as the ADAC MX Masters class, the junior classes – ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 – will also be in action in Dreetz, with competitors from more than 25 countries. In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, Scott Smulders (NL/SixtySeven Racing Team) arrives in Dreetz as the championship leader. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, Emil Ziemer (CH/Motobike Racing Team) and Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) are tied on points at the top of the table. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85, Kenzo Jaspers (NL/AK Bouw-Hutten Metaal Junior MX Team) lines up with the championship leader’s red plate. The ADAC MX Masters and ADAC MX Youngster Cup classes will each contest three races at the weekend, while two races are scheduled in both ADAC MX Junior Cup classes. The races with points up for grabs will take place on Saturday, immediately after the Last Chance Races.
Fans can purchase tickets on the gate or in advance online via the MC Dreetz ticket shop. Fans can save 10% on tickets ordered online in advance of the event by using the code “Simon10”. Camping is possible for spectators. With the ADAC MX Academy “on tour”, children aged six and above can gain their first Motocross experience in a three-hour taster course at the track. Anyone interested in the remaining places at the event can register in advance via the ADAC MX Academy website. From 11:45 to 12:15 on Sunday, Max Nagl, Simon Längenfelder, Roan van de Moosdijk, Tom Koch and Peter König will be at the ADAC MX Masters Truck to sign autographs for fans.
All the races in Dreetz will be streamed live and free of charge. Between the races, a host of interviews will provide entertainment and up-to-date information.
