Following a successful debut, the second edition of the international race in France is set to take place. There is great excitement surrounding the duel between Max Nagl and Roan van de Moosdijk. Back-to-back race weekends pose a particular challenge for the drivers and teams.
The ADAC MX Masters is moving at a rapid pace, with the third round of the season taking place this coming weekend on 16 and 17 May. For the second time in the series’ history, an international round will be held in France. As last year, the action will take place at the ‘Circuit du Martinsthal’ in Bitche, near the border, which lies between Saarbrücken and Karlsruhe. Racing will take place in the three classes: ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup and ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, where Max Nagl (D/Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing), Nicolai Skovbjerg (DK/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing) and Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) arrive as the championship leaders. With a high level of competition across all classes, fans can look forward to exciting races. All races can be watched both live at the venue and via a free livestream at adac.de/mx-masters.
Following the gruelling deep sand of Dreetz, the ADAC MX Masters riders have just a few days to recover before preparing for the event on the mixed-surface track at UM Bitchoise. The 38-year-old championship leader Max Nagl announced on the podium that he would be focusing more on recovery rather than intensive training. He and his rivals, such as Roan van de Moosdijk (NL/KTM Kosak Racing Team), Maximilian Spies (D/Becker Racing), Jere Haavisto (FIN/Schmicker Silve Racing), Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/SHR Motorsports by Hartje) and Noah Ludwig (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) know just how demanding the track is, with its many ascents and descents on loose ground. Of the top riders, only Tom Koch (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) is entering uncharted territory there, having not competed last year. International riders such as Nico Greutmann (CH/MX-Academy Honda Racing), Harri Kullas (EST/Schmicker Silve Racing), Tomas Kohut (CZ/Motoprox MRA Racing Team) and Mike Gwerder (CH/HTS Racing Team), as well as the German riders Nico Koch (D/Becker Racing), Peter König (D/KTM GST Berlin Racing), Max Thunecke (D/Johannes-Bikes Suzuki), Cato Nickel (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by DVAG), Paul Haberland (D/MX-Academy Honda Racing), Mark Scheu (D/Johannes-Bikes Suzuki) and Toni Hoffmann (D/BVZ Racing) are also hoping to shine with top finishes.
Alongside the ADAC MX Masters class, the junior categories – the ADAC MX Youngster Cup and the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 – will also be competing in Bitche, with riders from over 25 nations taking part. All classes will contest three races each over the weekend. The first races counting towards the championship will take place on Saturday, immediately following the Last Chance race.
Fans can camp at the venue in Bitche. Tickets for the event, including camping tickets, can be purchased in advance online from the UM Bitchoise ticket shop. On Sunday, from 12.15 pm to 12.45 pm, Max Nagl, Roan van de Moosdijk, Maximilian Spies and Tom Koch will be available to meet fans at the autograph session by the ADAC MX Masters truck.
All races from Bitche will be broadcast via a free live stream. Between races, there will be plenty of interviews to keep you entertained and provide the latest updates. The live stream will be available at adac.de/mx-masters. On Saturday, the broadcast begins at 2.50 pm; on Sunday, Part 1 starts at 10.30 am, followed by Part 2 at 1.20 pm.
The digital programme, timetables and start lists are available to download Bitche.
