This coming weekend (29–30 August), the ADAC MX Masters returns to MC Vellahn. At the penultimate round of the championship, the final sprint in the title race will begin across the four racing classes: the ADAC MX Masters, the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. Roan van de Moosdijk (NL/Kosak Racing Team) and Nicolai Skovbjerg (DK/SixtySeven Racing Team) could secure the ADAC MX Masters and ADAC MX Youngster Cup titles ahead of schedule in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) arrives as the leader, whilst in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85, Martins Cirulis (LAT/Schmicker Silve Racing) tops the standings.
After a one-year hiatus, an ADAC MX Masters event is taking place in Vellahn for the second time. Drawing on the experience gained from the inaugural event, the club has further optimised its track to provide riders with good conditions and spectators with thrilling races. Roan van de Moosdijk arrives with a comfortable lead of 70 points over his closest rivals. However, the battle for second place is tight between Tom Koch (GER/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Maximilian Spies (GER/Becker Racing) and the European Open Class Champion, Jere Haavisto (FIN/Schmicker Silve Racing). Noah Ludwig (GER/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) is hoping to follow up his first podium finish at this event with another, whilst Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/SHR Motorsports by Hartje) is also aiming for a place in the top three. With Jordi Tixier (FRA/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by DVAG), Tomas Kohut (CZE/Motoprox MRA Racing Team), Kevin Brumann (CH/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing), and other competitors, there will be plenty of top international riders at the starting gate. Local heroes Cato Nickel (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by DVAG) and Toni Hoffmann (D/BVZ Racing) are keen to shine on their home track. But other German riders such as Nico Koch (D/Becker Racing), Peter König (D/KTM GST Berlin Racing), Max Thunecke (D/Johannes-Bikes Suzuki), Paul Haberland (D/MX-Academy Honda Racing) and Mark Scheu (D/Johannes-Bikes Suzuki) are also hoping for good results.
Alongside the professionals of the ADAC MX Masters, the up-and-coming talents of the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 from over 25 nations will also be competing in Vellahn. The ADAC MX Masters and ADAC MX Youngster Cup classes will each contest three championship races over the weekend, whilst the two ADAC MX Junior Cup classes will each hold two. The first races counting towards the championship will take place on Saturday, immediately after the Last Chance race.
Fans can purchase their tickets at the box office or in advance online via the ADAC Hansa ticket shop. Camping is available for spectators. Young visitors will have the chance to try out small quads and PW50 motorbikes on the Yamaha quad track. On Sunday, from 11.45 am to 12.15 pm, Roan van de Moosdijk, Tom Koch, Maximilian Spies, Noah Ludwig and Cato Nickel will be available to meet fans at the autograph session by the ADAC MX Masters truck.
All races from Vellahn will be broadcast via a free live stream. Between races, there will be plenty of interviews to provide entertainment and the latest updates. The live stream will be broadcast on adac.de/mx-masters. On Saturday, the broadcast begins at 3.00 pm; on Sunday, Part 1 starts at 9.50 am, with Part 2 beginning at 12.40 pm.
