Reichl, Bauer and Leok win in the junior classes

Lyonel Reichl wins the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Ricardo Bauer takes maximum points in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and Lucas Leok lives up to his role as favourite in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85.

The junior classes of the ADAC MX Masters also provided plenty of excitement at the weekend in the ‘Rund um den Mühlberg’ race at Fürstlich Drehna. Lyonel Reichl (LIE/Bauerschmidt Husqvarna) was the overall winner in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Ricardo Bauer (A/MSC Imbach MX Racing Team) made his mark on the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 with two race wins. Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) tied on points with Harry Dale (GB/KTM MX Futures) to win the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. Kosak Racing Team won the ADAC MX Masters team classification, while the newly introduced Young Talents team classification went to Team MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing.

ADAC MX Youngster Cup: Lyonel Reichl wins with consistency

For Lyonel Reichl, three consistent races with top-five results, including a third place in the second race, paid off in terms of overall victory. Reigning ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 champion Maximilian Ernecker (A/Sixtyseven Racing Team Husqvarna) scored the same number of points but, after two second places, had to cede the event classification to Reichl with the worse result in the third race, where he finished eleventh. Quentin Prugnieres (F/WZ-Racing KTM) was initially the strongest rider in the class in Fürstlich Drehna with two race wins, but dropped out after a crash at the start of the third race. Nevertheless, he still managed to finish on the podium in third place overall. Nikolai Skovbjerg (DEN/Wozniak MX Racing Team), who achieved his best result in the third race with second place, and Sebastian Leok (EST/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing) rounded off the top five. Linus Persson surprised everyone by winning the third race after two races without scoring points. Due to his better individual results, Ernecker leads the championship ahead of Reichl, Prugnieres, Skovbjerg and Leok. ‘I didn't expect to win overall. I worked hard on my sand skills in pre-season and that paid off this weekend,’ said a delighted Reichl.

ADAC MX Junior Cup 125: Double victory for Ricardo Bauer

Ricardo Bauer was unbeatable in Fürstlich Drehna. He secured pole position in qualifying and won the two races. Finn Lange (D/KTM GST Berlin Racing) led the second race until four laps before the end after finishing fifth in the first race. Second place also helped him to second place overall ahead of Ian Ampoorter (B/F4E GasGas Junior Racing Team), who finished fourth twice. Mike Visser (NL/Team Ties Pol Motors-GasGas) and Moritz Ernecker (A/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), who won both Red Bull Holeshots, rounded off the top five. With the overall victory, Bauer took the championship lead ahead of Lange, Ampoorter, Visser and Ernecker. ‘The experience I was able to gain in 2024 after switching classes in the middle of the season on the 125cc paid off today. I will now celebrate the victory with a crêpe and then concentrate on the other races,’ said a beaming Bauer.

ADAC MX Junior Cup 85: Leok wins team-mate duel

Team-mates Harry Dale and Lucas Leok shared the two race wins and second places between them. Leok was the overall winner ahead of Dale and Jarno Jansen (CH/Sixtyseven Racing Team Husqvarna) thanks to the better result in the second race. Jansen finished fourth and third in the races, putting him ahead of Marten Raud (EST/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing), who finished third in the opening race, and Simon Hahn (D/Kosak Racing Team) in the event standings. The overall result also corresponds to the standings. ‘After I was able to fight my way from last place to Harry's rear wheel on Saturday following a crash at the start, things went much better on Sunday with the start-finish victory. I really want to become champion this year and this was a good first step in that direction,’ explained Leok.

Team rankings: Kosak Racing Team and MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing come out on top

In the ADAC MX Masters team classification, the best result of a team in each class is taken into account, with the result in the ADAC MX Masters class being counted twice. In Fürstlich Drehna, the Kosak Racing Team won as the best team ahead of Becker Racing and Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek. In the Young Talents team classification, the results of the ADAC MX Masters class do not count. Here, victory went to Team MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing ahead of the KTM Sarholz Racing Team and the Kosak Racing Team.

All races on both days of the event can be watched free of charge as re-livestreams or in individual races via the ADAC MX Masters playlist on the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel. The full results of the weekend are available at adac.de/mx-masters.
