Even before the official start of registration for riders, there are plenty of signs that the 2026 season is going to be a thriller. In Roan van de Moossdijk (NL/Kosak Racing), Max Nagl (D/Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek) and Maximilian Spies (D/Becker Racing), last season’s top three riders and their current teams have already confirmed that they will line up in the series again in 2026. Jordi Tixier (F/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by DVAG) and Noah Ludwig (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) are also back for another season in the ADAC MX Masters. After a season in MXGP, Tom Koch (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) returns to the series and will be hungry to have a say in the title race. The championship also offers a strong and important platform for many other top riders from Germany and beyond.

Changes to regulations

There are a number of amendments to the regulations for participants looking to compete in the 2026 season. As announced in September, the previous age limit has been raised by two years in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup: in the future, riders aged 23 and under are eligible to start and score points towards the championship. Within the new age limit, a rider is still only obliged to step up to the ADAC MX Masters class the year after their second title in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. The number of starters has been increased to 50 in classes 1 and 3, while classes 2 and 4 are open to a maximum 100 riders. From 2026, entry fees can also be paid via PayPal.
