Tyres remain the best and most cost-efficient means of tuning at a racetrack. In Gibson, the ADAC MX Masters is now in its fourth year with a strong partner, which has completely devoted itself to the production of off-road tyres and mousse.
2024 – A year of victories
2024 was the most successful to date in the history of Gibson in the ADAC MX Masters. The tyre maker celebrated the title in the prestigious racing series with Max Nagl and the KMP Honda Racing Team. On top of that came a host of additional victories and podiums, courtesy of the Schmicker Racing and Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna teams, and an impressive number of holeshots at every race weekend. The introduction of the new MX 5.2 Scoopster sand tyre proved to be a total success and set new benchmarks in the “sand scoop” category. The new tyre was instrumental in Max Nagl winning the Red Bull Holeshot competition in 2024, making the fastest start in an outstanding number of races.
New challenges and developments in 2025
Gibson remains a big part of the ADAC MX Masters in the 2025 season. The brand is continuing to grow, with further product developments and the support of existing teams like Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna and new teams such as Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek, which includes reigning ADAC MX Masters champion Max Nagl. “We are looking forward to the new season and believe we will play a key role in the title race with our teams again this year,” says Christian Kersten, the brains behind Gibson’s strategy.
An inherent part of the Motocross family
What makes Gibson so special is its deep roots in the off-road community. The brand lives for the sport and is actively represented on all levels – from hobby riders to professionals. The range of products comprises solely off-road tyres, internationally patented mousse, and accessories for the Motocross and Enduro scene. The close cooperation with riders and professional racing teams remains a central component of product development in 2025. Direct feedback from the racetrack allows Gibson to act faster and more flexibly than many big brands – and whilst maintaining the same quality. When it comes to service at the racetrack, the teams are well looked after by the Gibson tyre service, with Jan Heller at the helm. He supports the Gibson athletes with recommendations for tyres and mousse, the tyre change service, and much more.
Global presence, local strengths
Since being incorporated in the niemann + frey group, Gibson has massively expanded its sales operations. The products are now available around the world – from South Africa and Estonia to North and South America. Through the strong network of dealerships, customers benefit from rapid delivery times and flexible ordering options, whether from the online shop or direct from a dealer.
The involvement as a partner of the ADAC MX Masters remains a logical consequence for Gibson: “We are part of the Motocross family, which we aim to support. The ADAC is doing the same thing with its series. And if our riders are successful on the track with our tyres and mousse, then that is the best proof of our quality,” says Kersten. It is no coincidence that Gibson’s slogan is “No Grip, No Glory”. You can find more information at gibsontyretech.de and instagram.com/gibsontyretech.
