The ADAC MX Masters celebrates its 150th event . Record GP winner Jeffrey Herlings and world champion Lotte van Drunen will be guests. Local hero Peter König is hoping for top results.
The ADAC MX Masters enters its third round at Dreetz next weekend (14th/15th June). The weekend marks the 150th event in the history of the racing series. The four racing classes ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 will be contested and motocross superstar Jeffrey Herlings (NL/Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) has announced his attendance, as has current women's motocross world champion Lotte van Drunen (NL/De Baets Yamaha MX Team). Fans can watch the races on the challenging sand track in Brandenburg both on site and in the free live stream at adac.de/mx-masters.
Sand specialist Herlings will not make it easy for the top riders in the ADAC MX Masters top class, especially as he has just added two more victories to his existing Grand Prix win record. Reigning ADAC MX Masters champion Max Nagl (D/Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek) is aiming to challenge Herlings as championship leader. His closest rivals Maximilian Spies (D/Becker Racing), Roan Van de Moosdijk (NL/Kosak Racing Team) and Noah Ludwig (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) are also strong sand riders and want to finish on the podium again in the three races. Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/Triumph Aqva Racing), Mike Gwerder (CH/HTS KTM Racing Team), Jere Haavisto (FIN/GripMesser Racing Team) and Marcel Stauffer (A/Osicka MX Team) are strong international riders in Dreetz, as is veteran Gert Krestinov (EST/Motoextreme Honda). In addition to local hero Peter König (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), other German riders aiming to finish in the top ten are Nico Koch (D/Becker Racing), Cato Nickel (D/Bauerschmidt Husqvarna) and Lukas Platt (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team).
In addition to the ADAC MX Masters class, the junior classes ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 will also be competing in Dreetz. Quentin Prugnieres (F/WZ-Racing KTM) leads the championship in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Lotte van Drunen, who made history at Dreetz in 2021 when she became the first female rider to finish on the overall podium in the series, has also announced her participation in this class. Ricardo Bauer (A/MSV Imbach MX Racing Team) leads the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, while team-mates Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) and Harry Dale (GB/KTM MX Futures) are level on points in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. The ADAC MX Masters and ADAC MX Youngster Cup classes will each contest three races this weekend, while the two ADAC MX Junior Cup classes will each have two races. The first races for championship points will take place on Saturday, immediately after the Last Chance race.
Fans can purchase their tickets at the box office or in advance online via the MC Dreetz website. Camping for spectators is possible. Children from the age of six can gain their first motocross experience in three-hour taster courses at the ADAC MX Academy ‘on tour’.
