The 150th ADAC MX Masters event takes place in Dreetz. MXGP superstar Jeffrey Herlings with guest start. The record Grand Prix winner returns to his roots.
The third round of the ADAC MX Masters 2025 in Dreetz on 14th and 15th June will also be the 150th event in the history of the series. As an anniversary present for the fans, five-time motocross world champion Jeffrey Herlings has signed up to make a guest appearance. The 2008 ADAC MX Junior Cup champion sees the races as the best training and wants to use Dreetz to build up further racing practice after an injury in pre-season preparation.
Herlings was once the prodigy of the motocross world championship, winning his first world championship event shortly after his debut at the age of 15 and becoming world champion a year later. In 2024, the 30-year-old equalled the record he had held since 2006 for the most race wins in the World Championship and the most Grand Prix victories. Herlings has now stood on the top step of a world championship podium 107 times as overall winner and has been world champion five times. That the Dutchman would go on to become one of the best motocross riders of all time could only be guessed at in 2006 when he contested his first ADAC race in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 in Tensfeld, but he never knew it.
Herlings wants to use the ADAC MX Masters race in Dreetz to keep his momentum going for the following world championship races. It will not be easy for reigning ADAC MX Masters champion Max Nagl and his rivals to put the Dutchman, who has been described as the best sand rider in the world, in his place on the sandy track. The fans at the side of the track will certainly be the winners of Herlings' guest start, because it is rare to see such a high calibre rider live.
Fans will be able to get autographs from Jeffrey Herlings and the other top riders at the ADAC MX Masters truck during the lunch break at Dreetz on Sunday. Tickets for the event can be purchased online in advance at adac.de/mx-masters.
