Increase in the age limit for the ADAC MX Youngster Cup for 2026

Age limit in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup raised to 23. Alignment with MX2 World Championship regulations. Title defence still possible.

The ADAC MX Masters is introducing a rule change in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup for the 2026 season, thereby underlining its concept for developing young talent. The early announcement is intended to give teams, riders and sponsors planning security at an early stage. The previous age limit in this class will be raised by two years: in future, riders up to and including the age of 23 will be eligible to compete and score points. Within this new age limit, athletes will still only be required to move up to the ADAC MX Masters class after winning their second title in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup in the following year.

As a result of this change, young talents who want to compete in the MX2 World Championship up to the age of 23 will not have to switch to the 450cc class early. They can continue to compete in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup on the familiar 250cc machines and develop physically and technically at a reasonable pace.
