ADAC MX Youngster Cup: Mads Fredsoe victorious
Mads Fredsoe made a successful start to the championship with overall victory in Mölln after being unable to compete at the start of the season due to an arm injury. The Dane finished in the top three in all three races, winning the second race. "I broke my hand five weeks ago and was only able to train twice on the bike before heading to Mölln. I went into the race with a clear head and had three good starts and races. In the third race, I got a little tired and noticed the lack of training. But with the victory, I more than exceeded my expectations," beamed Fredsoe. Maxime Grau (F/WZ-Racing KTM) got off to a quiet start on Saturday with ninth place, but turned things around on Sunday with third place in the second race and secured second place in the event standings with victory in the third race. The results were the opposite for Bradley Mesters (NL/Kosak Racing Team), who started with third and second places and, coming from the back of the field, only managed 15th place in the third race. But that was enough for Mesters to take third place overall in Mölln ahead of Quentin Prugnieres (F/WZ-Racing KTM). Prugnieres won the opening race on Saturday. In the second race, he crossed the finish line in second place but was disqualified after the race along with Nico Greutmann (CH/Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna). After finishing second in the third race, Prugnieres still managed to finish fourth in the event standings, followed by Manuel Carreras (E/KMP-Honda-Racing-Team by DVAG). Prugnieres thus took the lead in the standings ahead of Grau, Lyonel Reichl (LIE/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Maximilian Ernecker (A/SixtySeven Racing Team Husqvarna) and Mesters.
ADAC MX Junior Cup 125: Raivo Laicans wins in Mölln
The numerous spectators at the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 enjoyed three exciting and varied races. Raivo Laicans was the only rider to finish on the podium in all three races. In the opening race, he finished second behind Ian Ampoorter (B/F4E GasGas Junior Racing Team). Max Meyer (D/Meyer Racing) impressed with third place. In the second race, the fans celebrated a German one-two victory with Finn Lange (D/KTM GST Berlin Racing) ahead of Oskar Romberg (D/Meyer Racing) and Laicans. In the third race, Moritz Ernecker (A/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), who won all the Red Bull Holeshots over the weekend, led until four corners before the finish, when he was pushed off the top spot by championship leader Ricardo Bauer (A/MSC Imbach MX Racing Team). Laicans finished third again. Laicans thus came out on top in the event standings ahead of Ernecker and Ampoorter. Romberg and Lange rounded off the top five in Mölln. In the championship, Bauer defended his lead ahead of Lange, Ampoorter, Ernecker and Romberg. ‘Overall, I made too many mistakes and also had to contend with some hard forearms. I would have liked to have won a race, but I'm obviously very happy with the overall victory here in Mölln,’ said a delighted Laicans.
