ADAC MX Masters·15.9.2025

Fredsoe and Ampoorter are champions in the junior classes

Mads Fredsoe wins the ADAC MX Youngster Cup 2025. Ian Ampoorter is the new champion in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125. The Kosak Racing Team wins both team classifications.

Spectators also enjoyed exciting races in the junior classes of the ADAC MX Masters at the season finale in Holzgerlingen last weekend. Mads Fredsoe (DK/Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna) secured the ADAC MX Youngster Cup title with a fifth-place finish at the Schützenbühlring. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, Ian Ampoorter (B/F4E GasGas Junior Racing Team) also secured the title with a defensive riding style. The already confirmed champion Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) also won the final race of the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 season. After Roan van de Moosdijk (NL) secured the ADAC MX Masters title, the Kosak Racing Team also won both team classifications.

ADAC MX Youngster Cup: Grau shines at the end of the season

Maxime Grau (F/WZ-Racing KTM) was clearly the fastest rider of the weekend. As Acerbis Best Qualifier, he started from pole position and won both Saturday's race and the second race on Sunday with a start-to-finish victory. In the third race, he got stuck at the gate at the start and was last going into the first corner. In a furious comeback, he moved up to second place in the first half of the race and chased down the leader Lyonel Reichl (LIE/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), who won the Red Bull Holeshot. Reichl held on to the lead until the finish and won the race ahead of Grau and Nico Greutmann (CH/Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna). Grau won the event classification ahead of Liam Owens (AU/Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna), who finished third, second, and fourth in the races, and Reichl, who finished fifth and fourth in the first two races. Championship leader Mads Fredsoe focused on securing the championship and did not take any big risks. Bad luck for Valentin Kees (D/Kosak Racing Team): after finishing second on Saturday, he crashed in a collision in the second race and was out for the rest of the event.

"After missing the opening round in Fürstlich Drehna due to injury, I thought the title was gone before the season had even started. But I was very consistent and finished on the podium in every race. Here in Holzgerlingen, I was actually a little nervous, but I focused on not doing anything stupid. I'm very happy to be able to add another title to my ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 title," said Fredsoe.

ADAC MX Junior Cup 125: Ernecker is the king of starts

The first race of the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 was stopped after just a few laps and not counted because the rain on Sunday morning made for some crazy racing conditions. In the second race in the afternoon, Moritz Ernecker (A/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) sealed his perfect start statistics and also secured the last Red Bull Holeshot of the season. At the halfway point of the race, Emil Ziemer (D/KTM) took the lead for two laps before Ernecker returned to the front. Ziemer also had to let Ricardo Bauer (A/MSC Imbach MX Racing Team) pass him. Championship leader Ian Ampoorter moved up from tenth to seventh place and did not take any unnecessary risks. Ernecker ended the season with his first race win, followed by Bauer and Ziemer. However, seventh place was enough for Ampoorter to win the title ahead of Ernecker and Raivo Laicans (LAT/Sturm STC Racing).

“I didn't feel very comfortable on the track all weekend. That's why I played it safe and focused on winning the title. I'm very happy that it worked out and would like to thank my team, who have always believed in me over the last two years despite a few setbacks,” said Ampoorter.

ADAC MX Junior Cup 85: Leok unbeatable

In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85, the result of Saturday's race was counted as the event result, as the second race on Sunday morning was canceled due to the conditions. Lucas Leok was therefore declared the winner in Holzgerlingen ahead of Luca Nierychlo (D/KTM MX Futures) and Simon Hahn (D/Kosak Racing Team). Leok had already secured the championship title before the weekend. Jarno Jansen (CH/SixtySeven Racing Husqvarna) sealed second place in the championship with fifth place in Holzgerlingen ahead of Marten Raud (EST/MX-Handel Husqvarna Racing), who moved up to third place.

“I'm delighted with the victory here in Holzgerlingen and also that I was able to win all but two races this season. Next year, I will compete in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125,” announced Leok.

Team standings: All good things come in threes for the Kosak Racing Team

The ADAC MX Masters team standings are based on the best result achieved by each team in each class, with the result in the ADAC MX Masters class counting double. In Holzgerlingen, the Kosak Racing Team won the team classification ahead of Becker Racing and KMP-Honda-Racing by DVAG. This also meant that the Kosak Racing Team won the annual team championship ahead of Becker Racing and Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing powered by Krettek. The results of the ADAC MX Masters class do not count in the Young Talents team classification. Here, victory at the Schützenbühlring went to WZ-Racing KTM ahead of the Kosak Racing Team and Becker Racing. The Kosak Racing Team also won the annual standings here. WZ-Racing KTM reclaimed second place from Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna in the final.

All races from both days of the event can be viewed free of charge as re-livestreams via the ADAC MX Masters playlist on the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel.
