As well as the rider championships in all four classes – the ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 – there are also many additional competitions, in which riders and teams can win attractive financial and non-cash prizes. Who will be the winner of the 2023 Red Bull Holeshot, who will be Bridgestone “Rookie of the Year”, and who will win the team competition?

Red Bull Holeshot A good start puts you in prime position for a successful race. The fastest starters of the year receive a year’s supply of Red Bull drinks and Red Bull bears the fees for the rider’s starting place in the ADAC MX Masters and junior classes for the following season. In the ADAC MX Masters class, the winner of this competition in 2022 – Max Nagl (D/Honda KMP Racing powered by Krettek) – dominated the season-opener with the fastest start in all three races. Tom Schröder (D/Team 254), Mike Gwerder (CH/WZ-Racing) and Oriol Oliver (E/WZ-Racing) were the best starters at the opening round of this season’s ADAC MX Youngster Cup. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, the two sprints to turn one were shared by Saku Maniskkamäki (FIN/Strawberryhill Racing) and Maximilian Werner (D/Fantic Factory Team Maddii). In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85, meanwhile, Moritz Ernecker (A/AMX Racing) and Jarne Bervoets (B/Bervoets Racing Team) took the Red Bull Holeshots.

GoldFren Last Chance Race GoldFren has a soft spot for the riders in the middle of the field and is donating a voucher for a set of brake disks and brake pads for the motorcycle of the winner of the Last Chance Race in the ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. In Fürstlich Drehna, those winners were Leon Rehberg (D/ Rynopower-Germany powered Kaczmarek Motorsport), Victor Kleemann (DK/HPM Racing) and Bela Ulrich (D/KTM GST Berlin).

Michael Spacek Special Prize This award was launched by Stanislav Spacek, the owner of the company Goldfren, in memory of his son who died in an accident. The award recognises those who have stood out due to extraordinary commitment, outstanding character or special merit in the field of fair play. In 2022, the Michael Spacek Special Prize went to the Leok family and Wilhelm Würtz.

Bridgestone Rookie of the Year With the support of tyre manufacturer Bridgestone, the “Rookie of the Year” award was launched last season to honour the best newcomers in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 125. Young riders in these two classes are monitored throughout the whole season. Janis Martins Reisulis (LAT/Hamstra MX Team) and Áron Katona (HU/HTS KTM) produced great performances in 2022, for which they were each rewarded with a € 500 bonus from Bridgestone.

Pro Sports Alliance Horizon Award The MX coaching experts at Pro Sports Alliance do not only look after top riders like Stefan Ekerold, but also train the stars of the future. With the new Pro Sports Alliance Horizon Award, they are supporting the best-placed German rider in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 standings by providing a whole year of training for the following season.

Team competition In the ADAC MX Masters, the riders are not the only ones recognised for their performances, but the teams are also honoured. In the Team competition, the best results of one of team rider per racing class are added together. This way, the teams involved in all four classes are particularly likely to earn a share of the total prize purse of € 10,000. After the season-opener, the KTM Sarholz Racing Team holds a narrow lead over KMP Honda Racing powered by Krettek and the Kosak Racing Team.

More non-cash prizes Many more non-cash prizes are provided by partners of the ADAC MX Masters. Weber-Werke is giving motorcycle lifts, workshop wagons and toolboxes to the top three in the season’s rankings in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. Ortema rewards the top rider in each of the three junior classes with a voucher for a high-quality item from their product range.
