Razoon – more than Racing lines up with two Porsche 911 GT3 R in the ADAC GT Masters. Successful mix of experienced drivers and talented youngsters. Team manager Christoph Huber: “We definitely want to make it onto the podium.”
Razoon – more than Racing is doubling up in the ADAC GT Masters. Having shocked many in their first season last year, the team will now field two Porsche 911 GT3 R in 2026. The cars will be driven by the Leo Pichler (24/AUT) and Colin Bönighausen (21/DEU), and Mark Kastelic (18/SLO) and Pavel Lefterov (28/BGR).
Razoon enjoyed an impressive debut in last season’s ADAC GT Masters. The team from Eggersdorf, near the Austrian city of Graz, won both races at the season opener at the Dekra Lausitzring, immediately taking the lead at the top of the table. That made Razoon the best debutant in the history of the series. The opening-weekend success was followed by a further two podiums and a pole position. The team ended the year in third place in both the Driver and Team championships. For this season, team founder Dominik Olbert has acquired the services of Christoph Huber as team manager. Huber will be in charge of activities at the racetrack.
Austrian Leo Pichler will line up in his second season in the ADAC GT Masters. He won two races, made it onto the podium twice, and finished third in the championship. “I am very excited about the coming season,” says the 24-year-old. “The fact that I know the circuits and races is definitely an advantage. I want to challenge for the title again. Together with Colin, that is definitely possible!”
His new team-mate Colin Bönighausen comes from Hannover. The 21-year-old spent last season racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and finished in the top ten on three occasions. “I am thrilled to be racing for Razoon in the ADAC GT Masters, and to be lining up in a GT3 series for the first time,” says Bönighausen. “I get on superbly with my team-mate Leo, and he has a lot of valuable experience.”
Taking his place in the team’s second Porsche is 18-year-old Slovakian Mark Kastelic, who drove for the team in ADAC GT4 Germany last season. “The atmosphere and energy in the team are super, and I get on like a house on fire with Pavel,” says Kastelic. “It goes without saying that I still have a lot to learn, but I still expect to be in the front third of the field and possibly cause the odd shock here and there.”
Team-mate Lefterov from Bulgaria spent many years racing in ADAC GT4 Germany and won the title in last season’s Prototype Cup Germany. “It feels really good to line up for Razoon. Even the first day of testing was great. I feel right at home in the team. I am looking forward to working with Mark, and it is nice to be racing in the ADAC family again. I am sure the ADAC GT Masters will be a big challenge, but our Porsche 911 GT3 R is a force to be reckoned with and a lot of fun to drive,” says Lefterov.
Christoph Huber is pleased with his new role of team manager, and is optimistic about the coming season. “The ADAC GT Masters was already my favourite series, and our driver pairings are great. Colin and Leo are very strong, but Mark and Pavel have bags of potential,” says Huber. “We would definitely like to make it onto the podium and, if possible, to be in contention for the title right down to the end of the season. However, you obviously also need a bit of luck for that to be possible. Whatever happens, we will do our best!”
The final say goes to team owner Dominik Olbert: “It is obviously mega that we are able to back up our rookie season in the ADAC GT Masters by lining up with two Porsche 911 GT3 R. Our goal was to find two pairings that were equally matched and strong – and we have really managed precisely that. We have also brought in more personnel and are really a mega team, which is particularly strong mentally.”
The first opportunity to show what they are capable of is the opening round of the ADAC GT Masters at the Red Bull Ring (24th to 26th April), which is also a home outing for Razoon. Tickets for the event in Austria, which forms part of the DTM race weekend, start at € 49 and are available at dtm.com.
