First full season in the ADAC GT Masters for SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm. Jannes Fittje and Moritz Wiskirchen to drive the Mercedes-AMG GT3. Allgäu-based team working on running a second car.
The ADAC GT Masters field just keeps on growing: SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm will contest the full season in 2025. At the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 with the start number 21 will be Jannes Fittje (25 / Langenhain) and Moritz Wiskirchen (22 / Euskirchen).
The team from the Allgäu will line up for the first time at the opening round of this season’s ADAC GT Masters, which forms part of the DTM weekend at the Dekra Lausitzring from 23rd to 25th May. Previously, SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm has made guest starts at the Nürburgring and in Hockenheim in 2023 and 2024, securing one pole position and two podium finishes.
Jannes Fittje is no stranger to the ADAC GT Masters. He has been driving in the ADAC’s junior GT3 series since 2020 and currently has two race wins and six podiums to his name. “I am thrilled to be racing in the ADAC GT Masters with SR Motorsport. I have always been among the front-runners in recent years, but have ultimately lacked that little bit of luck you need to win the championship. This year, the goal is definitely to challenge for the title, and hopefully to win it,” says Fittje.
Moritz Wiskirchen has already gained experience with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 of SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm in other series, as well as at two guest starts in the ADAC GT Masters, and can hardly wait for the season-opener. “Since I was a kid, I have dreamed of racing in this series. I am obviously delighted that that dream is now coming true,” says Wiskirchen. “I believe that Jannes and I work well together and that we can definitely challenge at the front of the field!”
Team principal Thomas Angerer is currently working on running a second Mercedes-AMG GT3 and is looking for the right drivers. There is great excitement at SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm, as they prepare to contest the full season in the ADAC’s junior GT3 series. “I am particularly pleased that we are able to make the step up with Moritz, who has worked with us for the past two years. I believe we have a strong driver for him as a partner, in the form of Jannes Fittje. We are all fired up for the season and are proud to be contesting the full season in this high-class GT3 series,” says Angerer.
