After a year of learning in 2025, Austria’s Tim Hütter will line up for a full ADAC GT Masters season for the first time with Liqui Moly Team Engstler in 2026. Experienced Formula 1 team principal Franz Tost will support him in his quest.
Having started at four ADAC GT Masters race weekends in 2025, the 18-year-old Austrian will contest his first full season in 2026. The young driver from the Austrian town of Gallneukirchen will continue at the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2 for Liqui Moly Team Engstler. In preparation for the new season, Hütter will line up at selected races between January and March.
Tim Hütter will be supported by Austrian motorsport legend Franz Tost. The man from the Tirol region was team principal at Toro Rosso (AlphaTauri from 2020) in Formula 1 between 2006 and 2023. Before that, he was again involved in Formula 1 with BMW. During his time with Red Bull’s junior team, he worked with four-time world champions Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen. Tost will now use his wealth of experience to help Hütter develop as a person and from a sporting perspective.
“My goals are clear: to continue to progress and improve. I will definitely do everything I can to take another step closer to my goal,” says Hütter. “With all his experience, I can learn an awful lot from Franz Tost! It is a great honour to receive advice from him.” He is currently spending almost every day in the gym, at the kart track and in the simulator, in order to ensure he is perfectly prepared. Thanks to one sponsor, Hütter is also able to work with mental coaches at the Olympic training centre in Linz.
Lamborghini works driver and DTM racer Luca Engstler will also continue to work as a mentor with Hütter, who is excited about the 2026 season with Liqui Moly Team Engstler. Hütter has found his motorsport family with touring car legend Franz Engstler, his wife Ulrike and son Luca, and is already looking forward to working with his race engineer Bernd Ordemann.
