Alexander Fach (23/CHE/Fach Auto Tech) secured pole position for the final race of the 2025 ADAC GT Masters season at the Hockenheimring. The Swiss set a time of 1:38.088 minutes in his Porsche 911 GT3 R, before wildly celebrating the first pole for himself and the Fach Auto Tech team.
“I am very, very happy. We have been close all season, but have always come up just short. To do it in the final qualifying session is very cool and gives the whole team an extra boost ahead of the race. We wanted to end the season on a high, and now we have already achieved a podium, a pole position and the title in the Pro-AM Cup,” said the beaming 23-year-old. “The track was still slightly damp in certain places, including when you were braking. They were not easy conditions and you had to find a line with some grip.”
The final qualifying of the season took place under a cloudy sky and in a chilly 10 degrees Celsius, with track temperatures down around 11 degrees. Leyton Fourie (20/RSA/FK Performance Motorsport) ended the session in second place, 0.071 seconds behind Fach. A difficult Saturday race saw the former title contenders slip to third in the table. Now starting from the front row, the BMW M4 GT3 Evo will be going flat out to regain the runner-up spot in the championship. Completing the top three in qualifying was yesterday’s race winner Nico Hantke (21/Hürth/Scherer Sport PHX). His Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo 2 was 0.109 seconds slower than Fach’s fastest time. Fourth place went to the new ADAC GT Masters champion, Salman Owega (20/Cologne/Haupt Racing Team). He starts one place ahead of his team-mate Jonathan Cecotto (26/VEN), who rounds out the top five in a second Ford Mustang GT3. There was little to separate the ADAC GT Masters field in qualifying, with the top twelve cars all within one second of each other.
