Schubert Motorsport drivers Sandro and Juliano Holzem share a BMW M4 in the ADAC GT Masters. They must be in tune with each other, trust one another, and offer mutual support in order to perform to their best at the racetrack. The twins find themselves in a unique situation: away from the tenths of seconds, tyre pressure and set-up, they know each other better than anyone else. But how do they view each other? Which of you would find a hotel?
Juliano Holzem: I would do that, as my brother would probably just forget.
Sandro Holzem: I agree. Juliano would take care of that.
Which of you has the bigger suitcase?
Sandro Holzem: We both have identical suitcases, so there is no difference.
Which of you is most likely to leave something at home?
Sandro Holzem: I am more likely to forget something and leave it at home. There are always little things, like my ticket for the circuit or a charging cable. That happens to me a lot.
Which of you is more punctual?
Juliano Holzem: We are the same in that regard. We have both been late now and then …
Sandro Holzem: Ah, I would have said that I am more punctual (laughs).
Which of you has the better taste, when it comes to food?
Sandro Holzem: There are no major differences here. We both have relatively similar tastes in food.
Which of you is the biggest slob?
Sandro Holzem: Definitely me. I often forget things and am generally a bit messier.
Which of you is most likely to have a heated discussion with the engineer or your team principal?
Sandro Holzem: That’s an easy one. Juliano! 100 percent!
Juliano Holzem: I am the more fiery character if things are not going entirely to plan.
Which of you is most addicted to using your mobile phone?
Sandro Holzem: Juliano again!
Juliano Holzem: It is not that bad, though. I maybe have an hour or an hour and a half more screen time per day than Sandro.
Which of the classic apps do you have open?
Juliano Holzem: Instagram and WhatsApp.
Which of you has the most annoying habit, and what is it?
Sandro Holzem: I reckon Juliano has the most annoying habit, because he always gets so hot-headed so quickly. He doesn’t really flip out, but soon gets wound up.
Juliano Holzem: I would say Sandro, because he thinks he knows everything about GT3 racing better than anyone else (laughs).
Which of the other person’s qualities would you like to adopt?
Sandro Holzem: None. The characteristics I have are what make me who I am… What a great answer, hey? (Laughs).
Juliano Holzem: I would also say none!
