ADAC GT Masters·28.3.2024

Girl power at Grasser Racing

The Grasser Racing Team line-up for the 2024 ADAC GT Masters is complete: the team from St. Margarethen in Austria welcomes another newcomer into its fold, in the form of Taylor Hagler. The American will share a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 with youngster Jannik Julius-Bernhart in the ADAC GT Masters. The start in the popular ADAC racing series will be Hagler’s first outing in European GT3 racing.

“I am excited to be joining GRT Grasser Racing Team in the ADAC GT Masters in 2024,” says 28-year-old Hagler. “The motorsport experience and fans in Germany are amazing. It has been a priority of mine to do more racing there and I’m looking to build upon the experience gained in Europe in 2023 and find success in the GT3 category.” Early in her career, Hagler impressed – and won titles – on the American touring car scene. In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, she won the TCR class in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge as a works driver. This was followed in 2023 by Hagler’s first GT4 outings in Europe and a start at the legendary 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.

This year, the Texan is stepping up to the ADAC GT Masters. She follows in the footsteps of twelve other women, who have raced in the strong GT3 series before her. The most successful of these was Claudia Hürtgen, who won seven races. Rahel Frey also features twice in the winners list. “Taylor has established a strong reputation in the States, thanks to her impressive performances. She has proven herself in fiercely-competitive championships and is ready for the challenge in the ADAC GT Masters,” stresses Gottfried Grasser, team principal of GRT. “We have experienced North American racing for ourselves and know exactly what it takes to switch from one continent to the other. It is going to be a year of learning for her and Jannik, and we are looking forward to seeing our two rookies develop.”

While Grasser Racing Team is putting its faith in two newcomers in Hagler and Julius-Bernhart, the team has opted for GT3 experience in its second car. Benjamin Hites and Tim Zimmermann will pair up in GRT’s second Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 in the ADAC GT Masters.
