Schubert Motorsport puts faith in BMW again in ADAC GT Masters

Race team to run the BMW M6 GT3 again in the ADAC GT Masters. Looking to field the new M4 GT3 in the 2022 season. Team planning to expand into ADAC GT4 Germany.

Schubert Motorsport is sticking with BMW in the ADAC GT Masters: the team from Oschersleben will continue to run the M6 GT3 in the German GT Championship in 2021. It also plans to expand its activities to include ADAC GT4 Germany. The ADAC GT Masters season kicks off from 14th to 16th May at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Free-to-air TV station NITRO will broadcast all races live and in full.

Schubert Motorsport has been racing in the ADAC GT Masters for over ten years. In 2015, André Schubert’s outfit won the Team competition with the BMW Z4 GT3. Last year, the BMW team – one of the three teams with the most wins to its name in the history of this series – claimed its eleventh race win in the ADAC GT Masters, courtesy of Henric Skoog and Nick Yelloly at the Red Bull Ring.

As Schubert Motorsport embarks on this year’s programme in the ADAC GT Masters, the team already has one eye on the 2022 season. Consistent good results should lay the foundation, upon which to intensify the cooperation with BMW M Motorsport in the 2022 German GT Championship with the new BMW M4 GT3. The team will announce its drivers for the 2021 ADAC GT Masters at a later date.

New chapter: ADAC GT4 Germany with the BMW M4 GT4

Schubert Motorsport is also planning to race in ADAC GT4 Germany for the first time. The team is looking to use the platform as a professional environment, in which to give talented youngsters, armed with the BMW M4 GT4, the opportunity to lay the foundation for a successful career in GT3 racing.

“Last year was a big challenge for Schubert Motorsport, in many ways,” says team principal André Schubert. “The team spirit, our strong partners and sponsors have made the return to the ADAC GT Masters possible, despite the difficult circumstances. It was an important step and we are looking forward to taking on the strongest GT3 series in the world with the BMW M6 GT3 again. Exciting new trips await us, as well as some familiar ones. ADAC GT4 Germany is a young racing series with a lot of potential.”
