2020 ADAC Formula 4 to open at the Lausitzring: Motorsport Arena Oschersleben to host finale

The 2020 ADAC Formula 4 season will open in parallel with the ADAC GT Masters on the weekend of 31st July - 2nd August at the Lausitzring in Brandenburg. The total number of events will be seven, just as originally planned. ADAC Formula 4 will be part of the support programme on six of the scheduled ADAC GT Masters weekends, omitting only the Sachsenring and instead sharing the billing with the ADAC TOTAL 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (24th - 27th September). All of this year's events will be subject to strict social-distancing and hygiene controls as laid down by the ADAC in collaboration with the organisers and race track operators. The measures proposed are currently awaiting approval by the relevant authorities.

The closing fixture of the 2020 season will be hosted by Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the weekend of 6th - 8th November. The penultimate event on the calendar will be contested at Circuit Zandvoort - recently reconfigured to Formula 1 standard - one week before (30th October - 1st November), as the ban on such events in the Netherlands extends to the end of August. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the rearranged dates. The dates of the races at the Nürburgring, Hockenheimring and Red Bull Ring remain unchanged.

Advance ticket sales for the races at the Lausitzring have been put on hold for the time being. In the case of the Nürburgring event, which is subject to the current ban on major public gatherings, the ADAC together with the Nürburgring management will check whether and under what conditions spectators might be allowed at the trackside. Ticket holders who are affected by any postponement and who wish to exchange or return their tickets should contact their respective advance booking office.
