Pourchaire and Leclerc on pole: First ADAC Formula 4 race this Saturday evening, second tomorrow morning

Frenchman Théo Pourchaire and Arthur Leclerc (Monaco) have secured pole position for the two ADAC Formula 4 races that form part of the support programme for Formula 1 at Hockenheim. Championship leader Pourchaire took the lead in Q1 with a time of 1:41.380 minutes while Arthur Leclerc, brother of Ferrari star Charles Leclerc, could not be beaten in Q2 with a 1:40.940. SPORT1 and SPORT1+ will broadcast the races live on TV this evening at 5.00 pm and on Sunday at 10.25 am. Racing can also be watched online at SPORT1.de and adac.de/motorsport and on the ADAC Formula 4 Facebook pages.

Leclerc will line up behind Pourchaire on the grid for Saturday's first race, the seventh overall of the season, followed by Niklas Krütten, Roman Stanek, Dennis Hauger, Gianluca Petecof, Alessandro Ghiretti, Jonny Edgar, Oliver Rasmussen and Paul Aron. The starting order for Sunday's race will be as follows: Leclerc, Hauger, Pourchaire, Stanek, Krütten, Petecof, Joshua Dürksen, Aron, Ido Cohen and Ghiretti.

Conditions at Hockenheim have changed dramatically compared to yesterday where it is now much cooler after overnight rain. The track dried out gradually during the two qualifying sessions. The ADAC Formula 4 drivers had suffered in temperatures of around 40 degrees Celsius on Friday but will face a fresh challenge on Saturday with occasional showers and very different track conditions.
