Nico Göhler set to contest ADAC Formula 4 again: 16-year-old Göhler will remain at Mücke Motorsport for a second season in German junior series

The first driver for the 2020 season has been confirmed. Nico Göhler (16, Germany, ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV) will compete again in the ADAC Formula 4 next year. He finished fourth in the Rookie classification in 2019 and intends to remain at ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV where he will prepare for the new ADAC Formula 4 season by taking part in the Formula 4 UAE.

"We're very pleased that Nico Göhler has decided to take this important step with us. He has already shown he's got talent in his first season and has a good chance of getting off to a flying start in the Formula 4 UAE in our opinion," said Formula 4 Team Director, Frank Lucke: "Quite apart from how much he'll learn through contesting races like these, which should stand him in good stead in the ADAC Formula 4 next season, previous participants have gone on to achieve tremendous success in recent years."

Göhler, who comes from Grasleben near Wolfsburg, finished in the points three times last year. His best result was seventh place at the race weekend in Zandvoort, but he also stormed to a finish on the podium for newcomers to motor racing at Hockenheim and was best Rookie at the season highlight of all places when the ADAC Formula 4 raced as support to Formula 1.
