Zendeli with best time in second practice: Second session faster than first this morning. Zendeli followed home by Wishofer and Lawson

Lirim Zendeli (18, Germany, USA Racing CHRS), who finished last year in fourth place in the standings came top of the timesheets in the second ADAC Formula 4 practice session at Oschersleben with a time of 1:24.068 minutes to post the fastest lap this Friday morning. He easily beat Leon Köhler’s (18, Germany, ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) best time of 1:35.770 minutes from the morning’s first practice session when the track was still wet.

Hot on Zendeli’s heels came last year’s rookie champion, Mick Wishofer (18, Austria, US Racing CHRS), and Liam Lawson (16, New Zealand, Van Amersfoort Racing) in second and third place.

They were followed home by rookie David Schumacher (16, Bergheim, USA Racing CHRS), and then Van Amersfoort’s two drivers, Frederik Vesti (16, Denmark, Van Amersfoort Racing) and Charles Weerts (17, Belgium, Van Amersfoort Racing). Enzo Fittipaldi (16, Brazil, Prema Powerteam), grandson of two-time Formula 1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi, finished seventh. Andreas Estner (17, Germany, Neuhauser Racing), Leonardo Lorandi (17, Italy, KDC Racing) and Oliver Caldwell (15, Great Britain, Prema Powerteam) were eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.

Qualifying for drivers in the ADAC high-speed school is this afternoon at 3.20 pm. SPORT1 will broadcast the races that mark the start of the fourth season of the ADAC high-speed school on TV.
