Dürksen set to return to ADAC Formula 4: 16-year-old Dürksen will drive for ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV as in his rookie season

Joshua Dürksen (16, Paraguay) will line up for another season in the ADAC Formula 4. He finished third in the Rookie classification last year and will compete again for BWT Mücke Motorsport under the banner of ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg eV. Dürksen intends to be a championship contender this year and is taking the next logical step after completing his rookie year. The sixth season of the ADAC Formula 4 will get under way on the weekend of 24th-26th April at Oschersleben. SPORT1 will broadcast all races from the ADAC High-Speed Academy on TV.

"I want to be consistently in the Top Three. I have already gained plenty of race experience and intend to use it to the full with the support of BWT Mücke Motorsport. I'm now no longer a rookie and must really show what I'm made of this year," said Dürksen, who achieved podiums in Oschersleben and Hockenheim last season. "I can’t wait to get back in the car and really step on the gas. Working with the team last season was just terrific. We got on really well, so I expect that 2020 will be a very positive, successful year again, for sure!"

Dürksen began competing in kart races at the age of eleven and quickly achieved his first success. He progressed up into formula motor racing last season and drove in the United Arab Emirates during the winter season. He immediately won five races as a rookie and ultimately finished championship runner-up. In the ADAC Formula 4, too, Dürksen has shown his enormous talent on many occasions by securing top positions and producing good performances.

Frank Lucke, Formula 4 Team Manager at Mücke: "We are delighted that Joshua has decided to contest a second season with BWT Mücke Motorsport. He deployed his great talent to good effect on more than one occasion in 2019 and impressed by achieving strong results. He stayed calm and focused even when things weren’t going so well. Many people regard him as Paraguay’s greatest young motor racing talent and he has the whole country behind him, but at the same time, he is well aware that he must live up to their expectations. I am always amazed at just how confidently he copes with that despite his tender years. We at BWT Mücke Motorsport will do everything we can to ensure that he can move up into the top classes of the sport thanks to his sound training in motor racing."
